Prince Hits One 611 Feet In B.P

Heard Prince on the radio and he didn't seem to think it was anywhere near that long of a HR. He basically said he thinks they measured to where it stopped rolling.

They did say he hit another one that snapped a big tree branch off too. He's definitely a beast regardless of how far that HR really went.

prolly just a 80 mph fastball as well, think what he could do connecting on a 100 mph fastball... 700 feet?

Well, how many 100 mph (or just about) fastballs has he seen in his career already? 1000 maybe? And how many of those has he hit 700 feet? 90, or 100?

I'm pretty glad Fielder is a Tiger, but he's not gonna hit the ball any further as a Tiger than he ever has or would have done as anything else.

It's impressive, but I never really gave much of a shit how far HR balls went as long as they get over the fence.

330 ft. or 550 ft. they all count the same.

500 feet is amazing. 600 feet doesn't even seem possible. They need to do a "sports science" segment on what it would take to hit a 600 foot home run at batting practice pitching speeds.

IIRC, they used a tape measure to gauge how far the baseball had traveled, from the fence to the spot where a member of the grounds crew said that he found it, so it must have bounced and rolled for awhile before coming to a stop. Still, it was hit a very impressive distance, in BP or not, nevertheless...
