"Several Lions in the top 10 in Pro Bowl voting. Calvin Johnson (No. 1 WR), Matthew Stafford (No. 7 QB), Reggie Bush (No. 5 RB)"

"Lions top 10 Pro Bowlers continued: Ndamukong Suh (No. 5 DT), DeAndre Levy (No. 10 OLB), David Akers (No. 9 K), Sam Martin (No. 8 P)"

Not that I care all that much about the pro bowl, but Warford better be getting some votes soon.

How is Akers even in the conversation for Pro-Bowl? Are all kickers considered?

I doubt the average NFL pro-bowl voter knows many kickers. Akers has that name recognition.

I'd say....

CJ & Suh are locks.

Stafford, Bush and Levy have an outside shot. Levy has a better shot if he leads the league in INT's.

Delmas' stock has dropped in the last 4 or so weeks. He is the leader of the D......but he doesn't make enough impact plays to be a pro bowler.

Edit: That being said.....I hope they all miss it because we have 1 game left to play or they pull out of the game because they got an imaginary injury. Nobody cares about the fucking pro bowl......the single worst game in professional sports.

Is this just the fan vote? Or are the players and coaches part of this to.

Not sure what DT have been at that level but Suh has had a nice year. I'm surprised he's so low. Levy has been pretty damn good, he's too low.

I believe it's just the fans. The pro-bowl is the biggest joke of an all-star game among the major sports anyway.

Suh has a bad reputation which will hurt him probably.

I think the coaches of the pro bowl teams can pick a couple players, otherwise its a popularity contest. Guys make it a year after they should have and a year longer than they should have.

Except now players from the super bowl teams are exempt from playing, which waters down the field even more.

the game to night reminded me that the format is changing this year so I don't think the coaches get to pick. This year I believe it works like a fantasy draft. so AFC NFC can be on the same team.

So Suh can sack Stafford? Assume they both made it, which they won't, but that's just dumb.

Are sacks even allowed? I know there are some funky contact rules in the game to avoid serious injuries in a pointless game.

Yeah probably but its still weird rule, teammates on different sides. It's like NHL, North America versus World. Though not sure they still have that.
