Man, I am ALL OVER the tables tonight.

<table border="1"><tr><td>Team</td><td>Ranking</td><td>remaining sched</td></tr><tr><td>MICHIGAN</td><td>3-1</td><td>@Iowa, @Ill, Neb, ohio</td></tr><tr><td>Iowa</td><td>2-2</td><td>MICH, MSU, @Pur, @Neb</td></tr><tr><td>MSU</td><td>3-1</td><td>Minn, @Iowa, IU, @NU</td></tr><tr><td>Nebraska</td><td>3-1</td><td>NU, @PennSt, @MICH, Iowa</td></tr></table>

easiest route: MSU. dammit.

the conference championship game could very well be a PennSt - MSU rematch in back-to-back games.

Ah. I assumed they play eachother in that dumb "Land Grant Trophy" match each year for the season finale, similar to how we will play ohio every year. I was WRONG.

I assumed that, even though I posted the schedule... whoa. I need to get my head straight.

Oh, and I looked up the tiebreakers formula:

It goes: conf record, head-to-head, record in division (only factors in 3 way tie), BCS ranking

link:http://espn.go.com/blog/bigten/post/_/id/23622/the-basic-big-ten-division-tiebreakers

We can't tie w/MSU and still advance, unless it's in a 3 way tie w/Nebraska all three being 6-2, our only remaining loss is to ohio, and we finish with a better BCS ranking than MSU & Nebraska.

Michigan is still in it. That is all that is certain right now. Well, I guess the schedules are certain too. But Ws & Ls anything can happen. Who would have thought Iowa would lose to Minny and OSU would beat Wiscy?

how pissed would sparty be if they beat us and we still went to the rose bowl? LOL god i would die of laughter.

You know, I don't mind if we don't win the division. The way I see it, if we win out, it's a BCS game no matter what. Let MSU embarrass themselves again. I know Michigan won't. We could lose, but we won't get embarrassed. We finally have a coach who understands how to make defensive adjustments during the game. My god, if Denard could throw the goddamn ball, this team would go undefeated.

I don't want MSU to win the B1G. I'd never hear the end of "we won the first ever B1G championship game bah bah bah"

Now, I don't mind if they go to the cap1 game and get blown out by some SEC team again, though.

it'd be very poetic though. Michigan won the first Big 10 tournament...in "sparty's sport". It'd be odd if MSU was the first to win the B1G championship game in "our sport".

I feel like I should care about poetry because Lloyd was into poetry...but if MSU winning the 1st B1G Championship is what it take to be poetic, then count me out!

lol of course.

Let's make this easy. Win out and Iowa upsets Sparty. Probably the only real chance at this point.

If MSU and UM run the table and NU loses to UM, I think UM will get the B1G division bid.

This seems to me to be the most likely scenario. However I hope MSU loses at least one more game!

If MSU and UM win out, MSU goes. The tie-breaker for a two team tie is head to head, which, of course, they own.

yeah, that's why we can only go in the event of a 3-way tie, IF we hold the better divisional record, and IF we are higher ranked in the BCS than the other two.

if we, Nebraska & MSU tied, say 6-2, the team with 2 losses to a divisional opponent would lose out... div record is the 2nd tie breaker.

Ok I just thought that the divisional recored was what counted, not the total division recored.

here's something to think about. generally in these tie breaker situations once a team is eliminated from the tie breaker, the tie breaker starts back over for the 2 teams remaining. If this is the case, then msu needs to lose another divisional game (iowa or northwestern) and michigan could lose the illinois game or osu game and the tie breaker would go to UM without going to the bcs rankings.

personally i would rather msu lose another game and michigan just win out. just trying to see if anyone knows if this is the case for the big ten now? (reverting back to the first tie breaker)

I think ML is right. Still a lot of football to play against some tough competition. It is great to know that Michigan has a chance to win everyone of those games.

As far as Denard not turning the ball over...well honestly it does seem like he is making some progress in his mechanics.
