Racism alive and well in Texas

yes. a tweet that proves racism is alive and well in Texas. Of all things, a TWEET proves that...

This is a thread about a Tweet, right?

I think it's about a woman getting fired for making inappropriate comments. Or it's a thread to get Thumb and Thumber on record saying this obviously racist statement isn't racist so if the ferguson grand jury acquits officer Wilson after reviewing evidence and eye witness testimony, he can have something to compare/contrast their cries of racism and police brutality to.

he would have a point too... I mean tweeting a racist comment is on par with shooting an unarmed black kid dead (which happened a few more times since then in the St.L area), and then beating the living tar out of all who showed up to protest the act & lack of any accountability from the police.

Nice strawman. No one is saying the situations are comparable. I'm just looking forward to your reaction and cries of racism if, after examining all the evidence and hearing all the testimony, including at least half a dozen eye witnesses that corroborate officer Wilson's accounting of the incident, the grand jury decides not to indict officer Wilson. That is what will be compared with the moronic claims on this thread that the tweet was not racist.

You can try all you want to reframe the argument but you'll have to have that argument with yourself.

Oh, well, I guess if the grand jury returns no indictment, I better go ahead and do what you say I will. I'd hate to have you look stupid on this board (again) for being wrong.

Isn't this bigotry and not racism? or is that just semantics?

It's really neither, it's someone calling people names on twitter. People who did the same to her btw, but that's not the point.

If you use terms that are practically mainstream like "nigga" and "cracka" you are obviously a racist and it is the thing that finally proves racism is alive and well in Texas.

Now zyxt and Spartanass will show up and get their extra chromosomes all bent outta shape.

It's the textbook definition of racism. It's not discrimination (using race, sex, age, etc to deny someone basic human rights or social participation) but it is obviously racist.

Meh, I just think racism is too harsh in this case. Maybe my definition of racism is too detailed as I see it as discrimination or prejudice against a group based solely on their looks/ethnicity.

Her tweets were dumb, but it seemed more like a response aimed at the people who were bitching at her, not necessarily an entire race.

Either way I don't really care, the whole as Ferguson thing is bullshit anyway, no matter the outcome one side will continuously bitch... Just like the Trayvon case. Easy money for the media.
