The upcoming Giants @ Lions game has potential to break the record for turnovers by both teams in a game. I know it has stood since 1942, and 17 is an incredibly high number, but I think These two teams have shown a willingness to let the other team have the ball that is just befitting of the seasonal spirit of Giving.

And of course the Lions were in that game back in '42; should have gone without saying. YES, that same Lions team set the record for one team in a game at 12, which has since been tied.

Can these 2 teams manage to turn the ball over 18 times? that's only 9 per half, so definitely within reach.

I was thinking the same thing today, who wins the turnover battle here? Both average like 5 a game.

The problem at least on the Lions side is they don't force turnovers. Eli will probably be perfect against us.

These guys might get the record after 18 straight plays the way they play. Eli and staff will chuck it right to defenders with the greatest of ease.

The only record that will be broken is CJ will become the first WR 1500 yards 3 years in a row. And maybe the only one to have 1600 yards 3 times.

I would agree but based on how this (and most other) seasons has gone, the giants may get twelve, while this defense likely won't force a single turnover. Or get a sack, but hey, they'll get close enough to Eli to swipe a little lint off of his uniform. He'll be sparkly clean the whole game.

0 sacks from the dline vs a shitty bal oline would say youre right. only way this team forces turnovers is if were causing havoc in the backfield.....unfortunately, we don't do that very consistently. I actually think the secondary played pretty good vs Baltimore minus how out of position and late delmas is all the time. But for how much time flacco had due to our shitty dline....I thought the secondary held up failry well.

We don't blitz. We don't force decisions. We are a reactive defense, which is just fuckin stupid in todays game.

The entire defense is predicated on read and react. That's why we are ALWAYS a step late. You need ELITE athletes all over the field to play a defense like that. What Gunther does is the equivalent of us playing in snow every game......the offense is always going to have the advantage. Always.

and guys are out of position all the frikken time. Delmas, A SAFETY, is playing in the flat where there is not a WR in sight and flacco just throws a 15 yard DIG. its way too easy. Why the fuck would a safety be sitting in the flat when there is no one there lol. I understand zone defense but you still need to have some awareness of what is going on. Maybe that scrub delmas should start practicing cause he obviously doesn't get it. either that or his gold grill is weighing him down.

We did blitz a good amount in the Baltimore game. I don't understand why people are saying we didn't. The problem was that we didn't get to Flacco. Tulloch missed him, as well as several other guys who blitzed. The rest of the season we haven't blitzed much, but WE DID MONDAY NIGHT!

it was frusturating to watch. It reminded me of the Pittsburgh game. Players were getting to the QB but they were just sidestepping out of the sack.

And well lose making it all bitter sweet, such are the lions

it's what they do
