If Crist had been in the entire game last year? Isn't it kind of ironic that the QB they thought was the reason they lost to us last year, Rees, is now named the starting QB again for the Michigan game. lol ND sucks.

Kelly is in over his head, IMO. He's the kind of coach to take a Cinci or GVS and make them over-achieve, but his handling of the QBs if nothing else, has been a trainwreck.

His waffling on the starter, allowing others to influence him .... he can't handle the pressure if you ask me.

Forget who it was on cfb live arguing with lou holtz, but they said that notre dame is overrated every year.

Probably Mark May .....? That's been his position for years.

If we lose to this team, i'm going to be very depressed! Fuck Notre Dame!

yeah, it's not going to be fun - especially given how hyped this game has been for the last 6+ months.

This game is set up for UM to lose. Even if the defense was ranked no.1 in the land and UM was back to its old self, it would still be the same feeling. It's the nature of the rivalry.

Notre Dame came out real shhhloppy. Its just the firsth game of the year. They'll win the resth of the games thisth year and play in a B.C.Sth. bowl game.

This is exactly what I'm feeling. 4 out of 5 with some dramatic wins .... reversion to the mean, statistical reversion for the rivalry .... an overrated ND getting punked by USF just ahead of the over-hyped "Under the Lights"

I was there for the first game Cankles waddled in to M Stadium and after Henne and Hart each fumbled headed in to score, the writing was on the wall and ND won.

I'm anxious about being "favored" although technically the underdog...

I argued that too. I argued that based on the fact that ND scored all their points when he was in the game, and he was out most of the 1st half. They had no trouble moving the ball when he was in.

Lest I be branded a Notre Dame lover, let me just say I think Notre Dame sucks, has always sucked, and WILL always suck, and I agree they are overrated every year.

I have heard many ND fans say USF>U of M. So they think they will mop the floor with us on Saturday.

Well if ND fans opinions counted on the field, they'd have never lost to MICHIGAN under Rich Rod, much less Tulsa, NAVY, Stanford, Purdue, Air Force, Boston College, Pitt, UConn or Sparty all those times.

i think we win this game easy, our offense is fine and we will continue to drain the clock with the new running game, the defense will apply pressure on a nervous tommy rees, and weve beaten notre dame with less

Hoping for a ND Victory!

But that USF loss was a fucking joke...I still have faith in Kelly but he needs to cool it with the F bombs..its not going to help.

I find it concerning that prior to that USF game Kelly came out praising Crist as a QB saying he was the best QB he had ever coached and that the kid was mentally strong...if he actually believed that he wouldnt have yanked him after 1 half.

I think ND will bounce back and win..but I wouldn't be surprised if they lost.

I have a difficult time believing that Rees will start over Crist - is that official now? I feel much better about our chances if Crist is benched.

It's official. Coach Kelly announced it today. Rees will be starting against U of M.

Geez. I didn't watch every ND snap last year, but from what I saw it seemed that Crist was way better than Rees. Maybe Kelly is just "sending a message"
