Report: Sessions Out as Attorney General

Of course it's totally not possible that ShitfoWars would doctor a video. Alex Jones himself would never tolerate such a thing, he draws the line at blaming parents of a mass shooting for staging the whole thing. No doctoring allowed, or else he won't sell his powdered rhino horn stiffy pills or whatever to you.

have you seen the 2 videos side by side? or is it enough to say "Infowars" and take the other side?

Yes, I have.

As for the second part, I could ask the same, did you just see CNN and take the other side? You mentioned a few times about how this would be outrage under Obama and I was wondering why that has anything to do with anything, other than to deflect?

And for the record, yeah, Acosta is really being a dick with how he asks questions, but part of me also thinks some of it is justified and should be done more by other media outlets as well (perhaps less rudely) since the white house often has a problem telling the truth or answering questions at all.

Imo he did put his arm on her arm and thrust downward but imo it was more reactionary and I didn’t think it was that big a deal. I don’t think the guy frog network doctored anything Watson’s video simply zoomed in on it. The bigger issue imo is all the over the top trump hate and mob rule tatics on the left is getting really old

To me it appears not only zoomed, but sped up slightly...making the motion seem like it was more forceful. There is a reason it has no audio.

As far as the Trump hate, it's not over the top...he has earned every bit, and not all of it is from the left.... from "alternative facts" to thinking he can re-write the 14th amendment. The press has every right to do what it does, and every other president had to deal with it as well, they just did so with class and dignity, something Trump simply does not possess.

Agree to disagree he has earned some of it but not nearly to the degree msnbc cnn and Hollywood 24/7 hate againts him is justifiably reasonable

Also, I'm sure a couple of you will write this off as a "left wing media bias" thing but...

Experts have said video was altered:

Side-by-side comparisons support claims from fact-checkers and experts such as Jonathan Albright, research director of the Tow Center for Digital Journalism at Columbia University, who argued that crucial parts of the video appear to have been altered so as to distort the action.

A frame-by-frame breakdown by Storyful, a social-media intelligence firm that verifies media content, found that the edited video included repeated frames that did not appear in the original footage. The repeated frames were shown only at the moment of contact and made Acosta’s arm movement look more exaggerated, said Shane Raymond, a journalist at Storyful.

no, i watched the videos and realized you have to be a moron to think that slight difference even if intentional is misleading or could lead people to draw a different conclusion. thats why i said earlier you cant draw a different conclusion, no matter which side you come down on from one video vs the other because theres no substantial difference, even if it was doctored. good try though.

im not deflecting anything. im pointing out the hypocrisy and stupidity of every mainstream media outlet. not one of them fact checked the doctoring claim, they just ran with it and now they're doubling down on it - pathetic. and it's definitely true if the situation happened to an Obama intern, the reaction would be the same level of outrage sirected at the conservative reporter.

and just to reiterate, my conclusions about acosta had nothing to do with the microphone incident. i even said the white house should have yanked his credentials based on his disrespectful behavior toward the president.

Ill take PJW’s word on it, I have no reason not to beleive him, unlike gay frog Watson doesn’t have a history of acting like a raving lunatic the comments are interesting from your link as well I see Watson and him going at it, the guy even refers to PJW as a white surpremist...really? That is so BS...So typical of the left to hit the race card all the time it’s so fucking old

and other experts have said it wasnt. as a nonexpert i think its absurd to think the zoomed in video makes his actions look more aggressive.

Maybe I'm just an idiot, but...

It's obvious in both videos that she grabbed his mic and he put his hand down on her arm. Nothing forceful whatsoever, just kind of putting it there as a reflex. As she grabbed his mic, she pulled downward and away from him. He held tightly and her arm went in the downward motion but since he held tight, she looked confused as to what to do next. Lets be honest, if Acosta isnt giving up the mic, that girl isn't going to take it from him. Her own downward motion is what makes it look like he was "forceful."

first, its impossible to have a different impression of what happened based on the differences in the videos.

Absolutely false. I did. Saw the zoomed in video first and thought it looked worse than I did after I saw the CNN version.

Didn't see the Washington Post link, but I think I found the same video. I'm surprised by the argument that the doctored video wouldn't change someone's mind. What kind of an excuse is that? I disagree with the idea that they didn't doctor the video enough to make a difference, but regardless, trying to doctor the video to make it look worse would be a terrible thing to do whether or not they did a good enough job to make a difference.

Here's the video that I'm guessing is the same as in Thumb's post.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=984hzrFkSyU

If you need help seeing the difference, on the right from frames 13-15, shown 15 seconds into the video, Acosta's hand is completely frozen, while on the left it is moving; his wrist bends and changes direction. In some of the frames 8-12, it's blurred forward on the right, making it appear to move more quickly and then come to a sudden stop and freeze there for 3 frames - as if he swung his arm down more quickly and hit her arm harder.

Somebody is lying.

This Acosta shit is nothing compared to why the thread was started. Trump firing Sessions because he recused himself could be considered obstruction. Then he puts in a shady staffer that was never confirmed by the Senate which some are saying is unconstitutional. This staffer that is now in charge of the Justice Department sole reason for being there is to stop the investigation. He has written opinion pieces on this and has admitted as much in interviews. Also, he can relay information from the Mueller team to the Trump team which also could be considered obstruction. But go on and keep bitching how forceful Kanye took the mic from Taylor Swift.

And as I said before, the combination of a doctored video with the "placing his hands on a young woman" phrase is sinister.
