Rich Rod says he would have coached michigan to 10

Can't wait until he opens his mouth so someone that posts here can run to this board and post all about it!!

I never hated on the guy, but he needs to shut the **** up and quit acting like a bitter little ****wad.

I just don't understand how THAT was the front page headline on Detnews.com....there aren't more important things to write about than THAT?!

well... apparently it wasn't the headline for very long: http://www.detnews.com/

it's not even the top headline in Michigan football news; Molk's Rimington is.

Good god, RR is an idiot. Yes, I know we all agree at this point, but after three years of having to endure his shitty coaching & excuses, I don't mind beating this dead horse on this message board (or any message board), and I won't stop as long as he keeps talking. Just look at what he said here:
He said he was joking about wanting to coach Arizona against Michigan.

"That was blown out of proportion," Rodriguez said. "I was teasing about that. If it happened in four or five years, then great. I wouldn't want to play against the guys I recruited, because I thought we recruited some pretty good players.

Last night it was where Bing's face is now on the website.

you can read about the trainwreck out there as it happens:
Rodriguez said Wednesday that he would like to add "at least one, maybe two" mid-year junior college transfers to compete in the spring with senior Matt Scott. Scott is the only scholarship quarterback left after freshman Daxx Garman and redshirt sophomore Tom Savage decided to transfer.

...

Rodriguez said his preference is to have four quarterbacks on scholarship in the fall, and would like to carry five in most seasons. "It will take us a couple of years to get our numbers balanced right, and that is usually one of the toughest things in transition," Rodriguez said.

The kids who transferred were smart. You'd think he would've learned his lesson, no? Give the guys you have a chance to succeed, but bring in your guys and phase them in. Win the loyalty of the current players though first. It will be better for you, Better for them... better for everyone. But NOOOOO...
Rodriguez made a scholarship offer earlier this week to Devin Fuller, a five-star dual-threat quarterback from Westwood, N.J., according to 247sports.com. The recruiting service ranks Fuller the nation's 20th-best overall prospect.

"They said I am a top priority for them in this class," Fuller told 247sports.com, adding that he needs to learn more about Rodriguez, the school and the offense.
He should talk to Tate Forcier. It could be like a scene from a movie... you know the part where the main character meets a drunken, old derelict, who gives him a warning before he starts out on his journey? It would go like this:

Fuller:"MY GOD WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?"

Forcier: "I was once like you. I was recruited to be the QB for an 'offensive genius.' 'Greatest mind in college football' they said. Turns out, it was all a lie. I played my heart out for those guys and what did I get? Nuthin but a half-dozen concussions!!! They'd bench me after every interception or fumble, no matter who's fault it was. They'd blame me for every loss. Said 'I needed time to learn their system.' BULLCRAP."

Fuller: "Sounds like somebody's bitter. I'm not about to take advice from a guy who couldn't hack it! buzz off, you old drunk."

Forcier: *burps loudly* "Well, when you ask for your transfer papers, tell 'em TATE FORCIER sent ya, BWAHAHAHAHAAH!!!!"

Although what he has going for him is far lower expectations. If he loses at Arizona for 3 years - no one will really care because that's what they've been doing. But what he's saying sounds creepily too similar to what he said here.

Didn't he CRY last year at the banquet and BEG to be a "Michigan Man" ??

so what you're essentially saying is, there will be no RichRod Haters in Tucson; everyone will be an Excuse Maker, so he'll be fine?

Yeah, but he has put Michigan "behind him."

And the fact that he's moved on is clear by the way he constantly defends his record, says it's frustrating to watch us play, and insists things would be the same this year no matter who our coach was, whenever someone so much as says the word "Michigan."

Not so much excuse makers as much as people who just don't care about Arizona football. He could go 3-9, 5-7 and 7-5 at Arizona and they would call that a success.

It's like he got dumped by this superhot, supersmart, incredibly awesome lady and he's going around saying things about how she's a slut, isn't any good in the sack and really isn't all that.

Get over it, Dick -- pretend you're the head coach at UA

I hope RR reads some of this shit....Someone should send him a link!

haha, yeah, he would lose it!

did you like the part of my post where RR's new recruit meets Forcier?

Hahaha, I'm sure WyldRydr is lurking somewhere ...

I just that he says "I could have done it, we just need to get better on defense". If you were better on defense to begin with you would probably still be coaching at UM right now. There is no way that RR would have won 10 games this year. He maybe have got to 8 wins but even that would be pushing it.

I think his most likely excuse after next year will be "I thought that they would have better players at Arizona". You know kind of like what he said after his first year at UM
