RichRod on Houston radio

I would like to of seen what the offense would be like this year with him. But o well, he had to go.

I still suspect RR, while he made mistakes leaving WVU, wasn't completely at fault with regard to the friction between him and the WVU admin. No, the dots between their President being fired and RR's treatment don't connect, but I still suspect they mislead him in all their verbal agreements.

I would love to peek into alternate universes where a) RR was kept through next year and b) he was never hired in the first place.

Of course, I'd like to peek into the alternate universe where I didn't go to grad school even more. 6% raises every year for the last 8 years instead of living on student stipends is kind of a big deal when I crunch the numbers.

I think he took the high road. Its about time.

He never stood a chance at UM. I think he hit the nail on the head with the timing issue. When Brandon came in any non winning coach with a rocky past would have been history.

I wonder if he can get the WV job back. I think that will be his only safe place!

I really doubt he could coach at wvu. At least any time soon. Wvu fans still hate him and michigan with a passion

Wvureally doesn't wabt him

But he needs to stop putting michigan to blame a d taje high road
Belueve me i was there for the josh groban thing

I thought that the coaches and players and everyone else but Rodriguez were baking these cookies. Rodriguez never took the blame for anything. If he is accepting credit for this cookie currently on the field, then I think that defunding his bakery was the right thing to do. What a clown. Why not say "I wasn't ready for the big ten. I underestimated the difficulty of that conference. Things that worked at WVU did not work at Michigan. I understand this now and I will not make the same mistake again at my next job."

WVU will beg him to come back in a few years if they have a couple losing seasons. If they do go to a real conference then they will lose and I think that we will see him coaching there again.

maybe his former assistants at Pitt can sabotage their season enough to get their current guy fired, and RR hired?

It would be a lot like last year... huge numbers against mediocre teams, easily contained in the Big Ten. if we got a couple breaks like we did in going 7-5, we'd make a bowl... maybe we'd draw a really bad opponent and win. More likely we'd lose, but everyone would talk about how 2012 would be "The Year."

I read the OP and was expecting to hear some announcement that Houston had some new Shock Jock named "Sketchy Dick" spinning tunes.

With side kick, Sam "Backflip" McGuffie!

Add in bad recruiting and I think that you have it. Michigan usually goes to bowls that we don't deserve. We would be embarrassed by a bowl opponent that is much better than us.

Hoke might have the same results, but at least he is reversing the direction of the program. Rodriguez would have that same result for the next 5-10 years if he had the opportunity.

Bye bye Rich... I was wrong about you.... Time to own up that you stunk at Michigan..

I think we both know all they have to do is give Tony Gibson more responsibilities to accomplish this. It was not a coincidence that Iowa made a huge comeback once they started airing it out against a Gibson coached secondary.

Just to note: Pitt is 82nd in PED and 119th in total pass defense. Last season Pitt was 17th in total pass defense.

Tony Gibson continuing to prove he is cancer to any aspect of football he coaches.
