Rod and Mario won't return for 2019

We could use some new blood. Unless you're a HOF announcer 15-16 years is too much. I like Shepard we'll need a another guy for road games, not sure if Gibby does those.
 
A PBP guy or two and a rotating group of color commentators next season would work for me, breaks up the monotony of the same two guys season after season.


I'm happy that Rod and Mario are gone...they were already past their sell-by date 6 years ago.
 
I liked them both but I like Dickerson and Price on the radio show much better but none of them are a Ernie Harwell.

During the seasons beginning in the mid-70s, Harwell used to stay at the home of former white sox catcher Jim Essian. My wife grew up in the same neighborhood, and she said that Ernie used to walk his dressed up dachshund most every morning down her block when the Tigers were playing home games, weather permitting. If she was outside, he would wave and say hi, but like the rest of the neighbors, she didn't try to start a convo, interrupt his routine and respected his privacy.

I fully expect a couple very boring hires of in house personnel.
 
Hilariously stupid by both of them .. Mario was freaking making 500k and Rod was making 350k . Both are dumbasses for ruining such a good gig.
 
The gist I got just from the above article was Mario is a dick.

The only thing I got from it was they didn't like each other and Rod was often unprepared. Rod Allen's on-air performances reflect that he wasn't always prepared.
