wish i could find it again, but I was just reading that there will be new TV deals for the NFL in 2014 and that the money should significantly increase the salary cap at that time. Anyone heard anything about this or know anything? The article was very vague.

The cap is based on league revenue. New TV deal means more money, means higher adjusted cap.

What it boils down to is the CBA is designed to make the owners spend 49% of all the money the league earns on player salaries. The more money the league makes, the higher the cap goes. So yeah, in 2014, it's expected to go way up.

That's why Calvin's deal was so much higher than the one Larry Fitzgerald signed.

Plus the current tv deal was low balled to get the guaranteed money during the lockout.

Yea CJs contract wont look so big then. My advice sign up Suh, Stafford, maybe Fairley even to long term deals next year.

Sign Fairley to a long term deal. Sign Fairley's foot to an incentive laden contract.
