Was he going to start either way? I think he will be fine in a few days. Unless he tore something the pain will go away soon.

Yes, he was supposed to start tomorrow, and they were hoping to see how he would do with the playoffs coming up, so they could decide where to slot him in pitching order.

Even during the celebration in the locker room yesterday, John Keating said...well you're not pitching on Wednesday now that you clinched...and Max said he was pitching. He said he hasn't pitched in a couple of weeks and he needs to go out there. So I wonder at what point in the night someone stepped on his ankle.

They said it was on field.

He probably didn't notice then because of adrenaline, then drinking and partying. I'm sure he noticed when he woke up this morning though.
