I mean the Ducks are scoring like crazy ever since DD went out.. 7 goals.. and now we are going to lose JA for a game or two.. it is OK to get crossed checked in the back and have your head hit the board but if you are OK it is not a dirty play and you only get a 2 minute power play but a legal check from to a guy who should have his head up is bad because JA took more strides to deliver said check.. Ja gets 5 minutes and kicked out and his check was much cleaner then the cross check he took the other night...

Oh Wings were 7-3-3 with DD in the line-up..

I am sorry but Samuelson stunk last night.. Lashoff was not very good and the rest of the team was just plain lazy after the two games out west... What the freak is it with this franchise and why can't we get up for games after a trip out west.. Glad we are going east...

If this team needs to rely on a rookie defenseman not named Bobby Orr to win a playoff series, then there's no hope. As for the Abdelkader hit, I saw it differently. Feet off the ice, forearm elbow to the head, and it was a dumb hockey play to boot. Nothing gained by hitting Lydman. As for his head being down--it wasn't--Lydman was looking to make a pass. Abdelkader came from Livonia to make that hit, and I say he'll get two games.

Meh, I'm good with the fact they made the playoffs. Even if they go down 4-1 in this series, the one victory is a bonus, IMO. Not that I want them to lose, but it doesn't feel like a SC team so it might be better for veterans like Dats and Zett to not put too many additional miles on them so they can go further next year and the year after win the SC again once today's young guys get the hang of things.

Kept the playoff streak alive, with a rebuilding year we can't have much higher hopes.
