Seriously What was Morris thinking?

I mean Darius could be practicing and playing and getting better.. Another season could have gotten him in the first round. I still don't understand the move by Morris. Did he and JB have issues or something because the move make no sense to me. I know we need to move on but I just find it puzzling...Michigan would probably be a top 10-15 club with Morris... Still I hope the ceiling is high for the hoops team this year..

He's thinking....man I don't have a job right now and no degree to get a job with....this sucks.

well, he took a chance. I didn't think the NBA negotiations would be this heated or have this many problems (although I hope the season is cancelled and all these assholes, up to and including asshole-in-chief David Stern are F*CKED!), so I still would've expected he'd earn NBA money at some point.

1.) How much money did he make already by signing? If he got a signing bonus, I'm guessing it was worth a lot more than a recent college graduates entire 1st year salary.

2.) He can go finish his degree whenever

3.) the job market for everyone is shitty right now, but even more so for recent college graduates so looking at it from that perspective it's not a horrible decision... unless the NBA folds, every major European league folds, and he ends up playing pro in Romania for $6/hour.

If Morris had waited, he would've gone undrafted in the upcoming draft...

Don't think thats true at all, but in any regard he went to a GREAT situation. An aging D.Fish that they have to replace...he won't be asked to score much...he has the 2nd best player in the league (for now) to give the ball to and an orginaztion that will surround him with high paid FA's to make him look better. If he can't make it (talent wise) in LA then he won't be a good starting PG in the league. The only way he fails in LA without a fair shot is if they would go get a Chris Paul type guy which I don't think will happen but who knows.

A large number of players withheld themselves from the draft due to the then upcoming labor dispute. The draft next year is going to be absolutely loaded. I guess there's a chance he would get drafted in that draft, but I think he did the right thing going when he did.
