"The Eagles had become increasingly concerned about Jackson's off-field activities and his reputed ties to Los Angeles street gang members." I'm not too interested in bringing that to the Lions, no matter how good he is.

Im not really gonna comment one way or another because its a total he said she said but...

Deshauns statement:
"I would like to make it very clear that I am not and never have been part of any gang," Jackson said in a statement. " I am not a gang member and to speculate and assume that I am involved in such activity off the field is reckless and irresponsible. I work very hard on and off the field and I am a good person with good values.

"I am proud of the accomplishments that I have made both on and off the field. I have worked tirelessly to give back to my community and have a positive impact on those in need. It is unfortunate that I now have to defend myself and my intentions. These reports are irresponsible and just not true."

atleast hes got a good PR person that can write these for him lol....

He is a bit of a head case but has he ever had actual off field problems or incidents? Has he been arrested for anything? Because he's been in the league for what...5 years? And now the Eagles are trying to link him to a gang so the can try and save face on his release? That smells like huge bullshit.

Theres not really any other reason to release a guy that had 82 catches 1300 plus yards and made the pro bowl unless you thought he was poison in the locker room. He was a top 10 wr last year and his cap number wasn't that bad for a guy that produces like that for you.

He was obviously a head case, a team wouldn't release a player like that for no reason. Also if he wasn't you could easily find a trade partner for such a player. If you're the eagles you take literally any draft pick you can over releasing him. Apparently no one wanted him that badly.

alot of teams that know you are about to release him would rather negotiate their own contract. but youre right in regards to teams like oak that have a ton of space and a huge need.
 
Apparently the list s up to 9 teams interested in him... He is better then Tate... No worries we don't have the money space for him...

Don't you find it funny the source was leaked the day he was released Tony?
He has not had one hint of off field trouble in 5 years then a source leaks this stuff
the day he is let go. Smells fishy to me, and I am sure he is not the only guy in the
NFL that is not one SNAP of the head from thug-ville.. Not saying you are wrong but
something seems odd here...

27 year old playmakers don't just get released two years into a five year deal for no reason. It was obviously leaked after he was released because the eagles were keeping as much as they could in house while attempting to trade him.

Exactly. He was the perfect fit in Chip Kelly's offense and Jackson is in his prime. There's no way they would release him unless there were serious problems. And if you're trying to trade a guy, you don't let out the bad info until after he's gone.
 
People talked so much shit on this organization for drafting " character issue" guys and now they want to sign Jackson. Like others said in his prime and then released. There is something too this story. Give it time.

Maybe...idk. He had his BEST year as a pro though. Put up sick numbers. Now who do the eagles have?? A bandaid in Maclin and Riley Cooper??? lmao...that's a shitstorm waiting to happen. Now they HAVE TO draft a WR immediately. Throw in another rookie!! Something had to be messed up, bro. You just don't get rid of SUPERSTAR talent like DJax. But he has a history of missing meetings, being late, butting heads with coaches and he's obviously hanging around some bad people. Nobody wants another Aaron Hernandez situation on their hands, right?
I don't know the man personally, but he's obviously fn up somewhere.
