wendling in line to start...discuss.

Why would it be wendling? There is a ton more depth there this year. We had to many injuries and not enough solid players last year. Wendling wont see the field as a safety this year.

Hughes is just trying (as Tony pointed out....way too hard) to get everyone riled up.

Same sh*t as always.

The Detroit Lions secondary continues to deal with a series of injuries, as S Louis Delmas, S Amari Spievey, CB Darius Slay, CB Jonte Green and CB Chris Greenwood all remained out of action for Friday's practice. However, coach Jim Schwartz shot down any notion of Delmas, who has been out since Tuesday, having a setback, according to the Detroit News.

"We are just trying to be proactive," he said. "We are trying to give him days off and trying to keep him from practicing when he's sore. He was still a little sore and had some swelling there."

Injuries continue to limit Delmas' ability to be a reliable and steady force on the field. He's been dealing with bad knees for quite a while, and regardless of his coach's positive outlook, it remains an ongoing concern.
