Since When is Justin Verlander ALMOST Throwing Another No Hitter News?

Yeah, I was a little fececious...but also a little not.

The Sports Reporters did a segment on Verlander's outing thiis morning...don't see those guys spending this kind of time talking about a still pretty early in the season one hitter typically...

The guy is the best pitcher on the planet.

Hands down.

It's the same for all athletes at the very top of their respective sport.

Fuck, yesterday I read an article on Usain Bolt dumping his girlfriend to concentrate on the upcoming Olympic games!!!

Detroit fans better get used to it. Talk of MLB's best pitcher is going to be all JV for the next 2 years then hopefully a good debate between JV and Strasburg.

It's going to be news because people actually expect him to throw more no hitters. That in itself is just riduculuous and not at all far fetched. He's the only guy since Nolan Ryan you can say that about. He's a complete freak.

There had already been 3 no hitters this year, so I think because it was only close made it less of a story.

When a hack like Humber throws one most people know it's a fluke. But when a guy that already has 2, some other near misses and takes one into the 9th it is more of a story because you know it's legit. It also would take him into group of a select few that have 3 or more.
