Slay on the rise

Slay really did look good this year. I don't think we can ignore that he benefited from playing behind an elite D-line, but still. His technique and awareness made huge leaps this year. And he can still improve. I don't expect him to become a start DB in the Sherman/Revis/Peterson mold, but I absolutely think he can be a top 10 CB.

Also I agree with Mitch that I hate seeing that trio tagline. CJ was hurt for a LOT of the year, and we would be hard pressed to say he was really a major factor in the team being good (especially since Tate completely filled the void when CJ was hurt). Stafford meanwhile was as much the problem as anything with our offense. Suh was the only one of our supposed big 3 that was a legitimately elite player all year, and his presence on probably had the largest effect of the three on either side of the ball.

I hate when an article starts with this:

Calvin Johnson, Ndamukong Suh and Matthew Stafford formed the nucleus that helped pull the Detroit Lions out of their historic struggles in the late aughts.

Potential future HOF in CJ and Suh..and yet they think Matt S. deserves the praise as well. Probably noting as everyone does "But he's the best QB in my lifetime blah blah."

Of course it bothers you. Anything positive about Stafford and it makes you cringe. You're a riot...lmao.

That 97 QB rating going 7-1 at home bothered Mitch.

Those game winning TDs to Fuller, Riddick and the FG drives against Vikings/Falcons in the 4th, really stuck in his craw. Same with dismantling the Giants, Bucs and Bears. Real problem for Mitch. Road wins at Jets, at Vikings, at Bears. I wouldn't wish that on him again. Beating Pack and Aaron Rodgers at home. He must have lost it.

It's like watching hardline democrats and republicans argue their extreme points of view. You're all hilarious.
