The NFL cares about NCAA records. You know, college football, the stepping stone into the NFL? Yeah, those guys.....

Stop being an idiot. Im not saying its the only thing they look at but setting records in college football is pretty special. Shows they can ball wether you believe it or not.

As for Case Keenum? He was a rookie who got thrown in the fire. He's not a bad QB. Kubiak got himself fired because the higher ups wanted the kid out there but his dumb ass pulled him for Schaub who has NO future with the Texans.

Colt Brennan? No comment ....lol

Yes because I'm sure those records helped David Klinger in the NFL. Or Case Keenum (Yards record - career) for Houston. B. J. Symons (yards record - season). Andre Ware (Yards in a half). I could go on and on, they mean nothing when determining NFL success which is basically what we were discussing. But you wouldn't know that, eh? Because you don't pay attention.

Ryan Broyles had the talent guys, his career is all but over because of injuries. Get over it, yes he was way to risky of a pick.

ok ill make it specific to Oklahoma football and ryan broyles. Oklahoma was a pass first offense trying to get landry jones a Heisman in a weak big 12. Ryan broyles broke taylor stubblefields record of pass catches. What do Broyles and taylor stubblefield have in common? They weren't good enough to leave early for the draft and sat in pass happy offenses for 4 years. Taylor Stubblefield lmao....who went undrafted and couldn't even make the Carolina panthers roster. That's how much NCAA reception records mean.

just guessing but surgery that fast is probably a meniscus tear in hopes to play in the post season. If it was a ACL I think theyd wait a bit longer for swelling to go down etc.....no rush since he wouldn't be back til next year. But then again im not a doctor and could be WAYYYY off lol...just a guess.

He got his meniscus done prior to camp so probably a good guess. I'm not looking forward to Houston we have a problem getting torched by DJax tomorrow.

I could go on and on myself, you retard. If you idiots dont think putting up numbers in college mean anything then you belong in an insane asylum. Its a reason why they get drafted, you fn moron!! lol. You just said it yourself. You made a short list of players who were drafted high. Do you think GMs, scouts, owners, coaches ignore gaudy numbers?? No, they dont . Putting up huge numbers get you noticed and sometimes you might go higher than you deserve. Make me another list of players to prove my point some more ....lol.

What a horrible comparison. Keep reaching, man. Are you saying Broyles shouldnt have even been drafted now?

Broyles pick backfired, nuff said. Don't understand why this is still discussed. It's over just like Broyles career. How bout we drop all of this nfl draft bust talk until the Lions draft their next one.

No you can't. Records for one are usual 4 year players, for one, many of the best never play 4. Records are cluttered with no name players who aren't pro players. Or not very good pro players.

lol horrible comparison???...its the same fucking record they broke lmao. now ur just being ridiculous.

Sure i can. Remember, Google is your friend? I skimmed through a list of offense and defensive records and i recognized a shitload of current and past players. Do you randomly make shit up to make yourself feel better? Unbelievable .....

So did Broyles deserve to be drafted or not? He was late1st rd talent before the injury btw ....

Takes talent to break records. How you bozos dont recognize that is baffling to me. Not saying guys who break records need to go #1 overall but they definitely need to be looked at. Why this Stubblefield guy went undrafted could have been a dozen reasons why.

"Hey coach I think we should go after this guy, he has a new record" - that doesn't happen. They look at tape. Game film. Not records that mean nothing at the next level.

Stills was just as good and got drafted in the fifth, with both knees.

and both of you geniuses gave me a short list of players who broke records, got drafted high but did jack in the NFL, right? Now tell me why these guys got drafted so high? Oh, let me!! It was because they were ballin, boys!!! Whatever it was they were doing in college worked. It doesnt always translate into the big show. My point was, when you put up sick numbers, theres a good chance you're going high in the draft. Not always but people notice .....
