Who do we want Michigan to play on Monday?

Given the better team doesn't always win and it's all about the match-up

I'm leaning towards Kansas. I was rooting for them at the end of the Kansas vs Duke game. I don't know why, but I didn't want to see Michigan playing Duke+refs. I've been looking at this and that and Villanova just seems to be the worse match-up for Michigan

Anyone else have any thoughts?
 
Kansas for sure. Not that they would be easy, but Villanova is just the superior team in my opinion. They can beat you in a variety of ways (much like Michigan), and would be more difficult to prepare for.

I think the coaching staff would be better at coming up with a gameplan vs Kansas that can be successful. I think we could hang with them ok. Villanova I am not so sure.
 
I think we can beat any of them but we match up better with Kansas. If Nova gets hot from the outside we will have a hard time staying with them.
 
I dont care. Villanova can really hit the 3, but they are a slow team. Their big guys can block all day, but they plod around. If we make them run, we can tire them out. Kansas is very athletic and hot and cold from 3. Not as big as FSU and not as good defensively, but offensively way better. Our defense keeps us in both games, but which offense comes to play is anyone's guess.
 
I'd rather play Kansas. not that I'm underestimating them, but a UM-Kansas final guarantees me at least $500 in pool winnings.
 
I don't know which is the better matchup, but I would very much like to see Michigan beat Duke in the tourney before Krzyzewski retires.
 
Both teams are beatable and have losses to teams worse than us this year. I'm good with either match up.

Nova lost to a terrible St. John's team and also lost to ok Butler, Providence, and Creighton teams.

Kansas lost to Washington, Baylor, and Ok State (twice).

every team that's left has lost to terrible teams. Loyola lost to Boise St, Milwaukee, Missouri St, Indiana St & Bradley. UM should walk into the finals!

I read that Villanova is great from 3, but 3 point defense is one of Michigan's strengths.

Kansas looks a lot like Purdue.
 
The great news is that each team's best player is the guy Simpson will be guarding.

Loyola - Custer
Nova - Brunson
Kansas - Graham

All PGs and we have the best defensive PG in the country.
 
I don't know. If Michigan plays like they did vs A&M they will beat both Nova and Kansas. If they play the way they did vs Houston, then they would lose to both. I am just praying they beat Loyola, and then I'll worry about whoever is next.
