So Tigers likely will play A's or Rangers

But could play the Orioles, Yankees, A's or Rangers based on tommorow's results. Amazing. All Yankees have to do is win though to ensure we play A's or Rangers. Not what I wanted, I think O's/Yanks are a better matchup than A's or Rangers.

I guess for selfish reasons I want it to be the A's since I live 4 hours away from Oakland.

amazing with 1 game left we don't have a clue we get first. LOL, could be Baltimore, New York, Oakland or Texas yet. Interesting how the Tigers are the only team in the AL that can sit back stress free right now while these other four battle it out.

Screw it bring on the Rangers let's get em out of the way first and do this up right. LOL.

Yeah we have a shot against everyone I just would rather watch the Rangers in a play-in game and get knocked out by the O's.

Honesty I would love to see a play in game with Texas and New York assuring one of the teams with playoff experience is knocked out right away. I don't really worry about any match-up possibilities as I think our pitching rotation is better then any team in the AL playoffs.

Boils down to this, If the Yankees win, the Tigers will play the winner of today's Rangers-Athletics game.

I want to play the Yankees.

I hate getting into I hope we play this team or that, somehow it'd bite us in the ass but the chance to beat the NYY 3 times in 6 years would be sweet as hell.

I don't care who we play, but I'm not looking forward to potential 10 pm weekday games if we play Oakland.

Yankees and O's lose tonight, we get NY because the A's would then have the best record.

The As are the best thing that could happen to the Tigers. No Rangers, no Yankees, excellent chance of advancing. Good news for all. Now it could still all go wrong but this definitely helps the chances.

I don't know about that at all. Don't the A's have the best record in baseball since the All Star game? This team has been on fire. They are 51-25 since the all star break. Whoever we play will be a challenge. After all, we have the worst record of all the playoff teams and they played in tougher divisions. We better win the first 2 home games.

Their offense and pitching is statistically inferior to both the Rangers and the Yankees. They are better than the O's but the Tigers were never going to play the O's. Much rather see the A's than the Rangers or Yankees no matter how "hot" they have been. They don't have any truly dominant starters.

That's the problem. We seem to hit better against better pitchers.

Verses each team

4-3 verses Oakland.
3-3 verses Baltimore.
4-6 verses NY.
3-7 verses Texas.
