Obviously now we know for sure, Schwartz is gone and Mayhew is staying. I think keeping Mayhew was the right move, he brought in more then enough talent for Schwartz to win with and has done a pretty good job as GM. I think firing him would really hurt this team as a new GM AND coach will do a lot of house cleaning when I don't think all that much needs to be tweaked.

We have a very good O-Line all we need is a C to replace Raiola, if not this year then sometime in the near future. Obviously we are set at QB and I would say RB too. TE will be a need if Pettigrew walks. I think probably our biggest need is WR because we have trash behind Calvin. Durham could stay, but hes just a #4 at best, and I like Burleson for his leadership, but I'd make finding a quality #2 and maybe even a slot guy depending on Broyles a priority.

On defense we have Jones coming back next year with Ansah and Taylor as the young guys. If we don't bring back Young we need to find a solid veteran, but we are pretty much set there. DT is set with the top three maybe find a little depth. Levy and Tulloch both had great years and Palmer wasn't a liability, could upgrade, but not pressing. Even at CB, I'm not terribly concerned. I like the young guys we have I just think coaching was a big problem. As long as Houston can turn it around and play like before Its a decent bunch. Could use an upgrade for sure, but we aren't desperate.

My top three guys for the next HC spot would be Mike Zimmer, Ken Whisenhunt, or Lovie Smith. I'm not a big fan of going and picking from the college ranks as that rarely works. Who are the recent exceptions Harbaugh and Kelly? Thats about it unless I'm missing someone. I also think retaining some of the staff is important. Both Washburns should stay and I also hope they bring back Krocurek the D-Line coach. Outside of that the rest can go.

I wish Mayhew was gone. We don't have as much talent as it might appear. I wish we'd trade Staff the way Denver traded Cutler.

41 million in dead money if traded. Not happening. Deal with it.

Mitch, is it wrong that I was kind of hoping for Schwartz to stay, you to become a Cards fan and then the Lions trade Stafford to the Cards?

Sorry :)

what'd they get? 2 or 3 first round picks? I'd be okay with it if we had some proven commodity at backup. Shaun Hill hasn't played in so long, you can't really count on him.

That's just some cruel shit. Lol.

Kellen Moore doesn't have the arm strength to make the throws that Stafford can but he values the ball more and doesn't make dumbass mistakes. He looked good in the preseason and I have no problem with him jumping Hill for #2 and getting a shot next year if Staff still blows.

Draft a guy. Who was it that brought it up, the QB I forget his name but had a very good percentage of competing passes in college. He's suppose to be good.I just don't have faith in StAfford any more.

I hope our new coach plays the guys who play the best. If Staff isn't getting it done, regardless the contract, play someone else.

Whisenhunt played Warner over the high priced Matt Leinhart and look how that went. I think Whisenhunt is the hire but I wouldn't be upset with either of the Cincy coordinators.

Stafford is the best. LOL playing Kellen Moore. Dude would have 30 picks with his noodle arm.

They need to get rid of Moore and draft mid round QB.

Are you all there mentally? Are you telling me that if Stafford struggles to start next season you wouldn't make a change? You're a fucking lunatic. Moore is a winner and is a hard worker. Stafford is neither right now but I hope all he needs is a coach that can motivate him. If not, he needs to get the fuck out of the way.

GM needs to go along with the president. Who the F drafted Stafford? He is not a good QB and more than likely never be. What about all the other stupid picks? Who is accountable for Suh's contract? No accountability with the good ole boys club. Schwartz sucked but he is simply a pawn for an inept organization.

Doesn't matter what the options are. No strong coach is going to come to this dysfunctional organization and long as drunk pres and Mayblew are walking around Ford Field with knee pads on.

Stafford is a harder worker and more talented than Moore. I want Moore cut.

And I hope Stafford struggles like he did the first 10 games this season. 21 TDs and 8 ints. Plus 2 rushing Tds.

Pretty bad franchise when a QB plays okay for half a season it's something to celebrate.

I understand the Stafford hate because of his epic collapse down the stretch and he was terrible, but hes the best QB we have had in maybe ever. Hopefully a change in coaching can help him become more consistent. Either way even in the most pessimistic person if you truly think getting rid of Stafford is a smart option you know absolutely nothing. Qb is one of the hardest things to find. Look at a place like Cleveland who have been looking since Kosar left. Even with the terrible finish he had more then half the league would take him in the blink of an eye and the other half of that probably would too.

Stafford was more then okay he will brilliant. Most of the picks he had during that span where deflections too he was careful with the ball and making amazing plays to win games. I don't know what happened, but he was awful since the Tampa game. Hell Terry Bradshaw went as far as to say Stafford was the best young QB in the league and PFF had him as the 3rd best passer behind Peyton and Rivers. You don't give up on a player like that it just doesn't make sense. Hopefully this new staff can correct those issues.

Yippie. Considered all the QB we've had pretty much all sucked..That might have been okay for me two-three years ago, but now he needs to step up big time.
