SoCal Cop hunting other cops

He just shot a cop and killed him. He was either going to die by a cop shooting him or by him deciding to run back into a burning house. Why do i care which one he chose? Its not like he came out willingly with his hands in the air.....he was firing at them lol. Then he chose to run into a burning building instead of being shot by a bunch of cops. He was never going to give the police a chance to put him through the "proper laws and prcedures.".....ever.

from the reports I've read to the contrary, they never called on him to surrender or encouraged him to, and there was no return gunfire from the house. there was apparently no gunfire on the scene, the deputies cordoned off the house, and tossed military grade incendiary grenades into it to burn him to death.

not naive; I know in situations like this, cops go for blood. revenge is a very primal thing. but they are SUPPOSED TO follow procedure and represent law and order. as a society governed by law and order (at least in name...) we should not accept revenge as an explanation.

maybe the rank-and-file guys who carried it out were just following orders, but whoever gave the orders here should be held accountable for it. this sort of thing requires leadership, and in acquiescing to the mob rule of revenge, we're not seeing any.

I hear you champ, but where does Matlock and Joey Chestnut come in?

you could tack on your eating-contest idea to the end of my script. maybe include a wisecrack like "I just saved the civilization as we know it, and now I'm gonna eat you under the table, Chestnut!"

it will be one of those comic relief type endings, where everyone stands around laughing as they role the credits and play Journey's "Any Way You Want It"

you are misinformed. There are several videos of news coverage that have all the gunfire on tape. 1 from a helicopter. 1 from a cnn reporter. The guy was fleeing a car chase on foot. Watch cops at all.....after a guy flees from a car chase on foot does a cop ever stop to say "will you please surrender you now before i tackle you?" The answer is no.....if youre gonna be that fucking stupid then your going to get shot or burned to death. Those are the consequences for the actions and choices he made.

In a story within a story a story in this script I wrote about 15 years ago that I'm still waiting for the highest bid on, the sidekick of the main character has this concept for a comedy for schtick to be shown on an SNL like segment (maybe cable because there's profanity) called "Old Fuck."

Roll camera, black and white, a little boy is walking down a path with an old dog, and he encounters and old Indian dude, and then the Voice over is "Old Fuck-the story of an old dog, and an old Indian, and the little boy who loved them both."

So anyway, the running motif is Old Fuck the Dog, and Old Fuck, the In'jun (because it was back in the old west, before the days of PC, and that's what the townspeople in the fictionary old western town called the Indian, they called him "the "In'jun") team up together to solve crimes and right wrongs in the Old West.

And throughout the episode, as they're getting closer to solving crimes, the little boy reports to the townspeople "Old Fuck found this" or "Old Fuck discovered that" and one of the townspeople would ask "Old Fuck the dog? Or the In'Jun?"

And at one point the little boy says "Old Fuck said that" and a townsperson says "Old Fuck the Dog? Or the In'jun?" And everybody look at him like he's an idiot, because, well, he is-obviously an idiot, Old Fuck the dog didn't say anything.

So, at the end of the episode, they solve whatever crime was commited, and some townsperson refers to Old Fuck...and another townsperson yell out "Old Fuck the Dog?" and a third townsperson yells out "Or the In'jun...?"

And everybody bursts out into laughter.

What about the innocent civilians that got caught up in the "shoot cop killer first, confirm identity later" actions?

What about actions and consequences for people who don't follow laws and procedures?

As far as the part in bold, that's bullshit. They ALWAYS yell to stop or get on the ground. I watch COPS all the time.

ummm...it was an abandoned house in the middle of the woods on top of big bear mountain. Trust me im not trying to argue that the cops werent aggressive....im arguing that dorner deserved it.

Go back and read the bold line he was talking about.

Back in the day, I was walking out of my Studio City condo with my at the time wife...we're going out for sushi...and eight black claden figures start running at us across the patio...they draw their guns on me...from about 30 feet away...and I hear 3 different commands "put your hands behind your head..." well, that's pretty easy....but I also hear "stay where you are" and "step forward..."

Now...that's kinda fuckin' hard to do at the same time...

So I put my hands behind my head, and stay where I am (a disobedience of one of the commands, but I was thinking the safer at the time...)

So my dear darling wife at the time...she ain't as cool as I am...she starts hugging me, screaming "this is my husband..." then running towards the eight guns drawn un us both...then running back to me screaming "this is my husband..." and hugging me...then running back towards the drawn guns...and when she comes back to me the next time I say in a subdued voice "Baby just stand still...or you're gonna get us both shot..."

Turns out some - no shit - some motherfucker who happened to be a cop (transit cop who patrols airport parking lots; "real" cops hate those kinda guys) had just started dating some floozy in the condo next to us.

Anyways....the wife calmed down, and I got frisked (I was wearing my usual tank top and sweats, pretty hard to conceal a weapon in those) and the cops explained that there had been a call about a black guy with a rifle threatening a woman in a condo that relatively matched our description....

Unarmed as I was, the cops, nevertheless, did me the favor of hooking me up right outside in front of our pool...they knocked on our neighbor's door, hooked the both of them up....I sat there in handcuffs while I guess the two of them explained that they were playing some kinky ass sex hostage game, until they convinced the cops that nobody had been in danger...

Now...I'm not a racist....but

I hardly look like a black guy.

So I wondered how I relatively "matched" the description.

Never filed a complaint though.
