Some good news on Victor

I read that as they would see where he is in July for a late season return. Which, IMO, is September or playoff time. Which would be cool, but I don't see July or August as a return.

Victor is to have an MRI some time in July....from the results will determine when or if he returns. Remember, Carlos, took much longer to come back from micro fracture surgery, even if a couple years older. Even grady sizemore took a long time as a under 30 year old. Sure, these two had other issues, but the problems with the knee and this type of surgery, it just doesn't seem to be an etched in stone timetable.
imo, best case scenario with todays news, he starts back in August with rehab and some games, gets back to the Tigers in September, and plays a day, off a day, building back to regular DH for end of regular season and playoffs.

I read this too, wow, that is great news, still a serious injury, but not needing this additional surgery is huge and he has a chance to come back late this year. Get him 25 games to get ready for the playoffs and he might be able to be the old Victor.

That would be an insane lineup!!!

Some inconsistency should have been expected. Austin just turned 25 years-old a couple months ago.

What I love most is Yankees top minor league hitting instructor Butch Wynegar tell GM Brian Cashman that Austin Jackson was NOT ready for prime-time and may not ever be ready.

A week or two later, his trade to Detroit occurred.

You sure you're in the right thread, bro. Lol.

Mitch

Looks like I'm in the wrong house....lol

I'll just call that post having a "Senior Moment"....lol

Feel-free to move it wherever you want.... or just delete it.

Keep it for prosperity :yay:

Edit: Okay, I copied it over to other thread for ya.

If AJax continues his success our lineup would be 8 deep + plus whoever is at 2nd base.

Great news but I hope they don't rush him I want him completely healthy next season as we try and defend our title and go back to back...:)

1-Ajax
2-Boesch
3-Miggy
4-Prince
5-V-Mart
6-Delmon
7-Avila (the only reason avila bats after delmon is to protect him against lefty relievers)
8-Peralta
9- 2nd half Raburn

Umm...yes.

Talking about K Burn, we all saw at the end of ST. He was hitting well, saw the sight of opening day, and went into suck mode. What the hell is wrong with him?

wow, i had no idea there was any chance of him returning. And to get him in August and give him a chance to get his swing back....amazing!
