Spartans Mt. Rushmore

I'm pretty old school and have vivid memories of the '64-66 guys. I went with the three of them and Lorenzo.

George Perles, a vacant slot where Nick Saban would've been, John L. Smith, and Bobby Williams.

...and off to the side, a platform where Drew Stanton rants about "Walmart Wolverines" and the fanbase feels better, even though ~90% of them shop at Walmart too.

OK: Bubba, Webster, Coleman and VanPelt. OR ... Richard "Batman" Wood, Charlie Baggett, Tony Mandarich and Jeff Smoker.

George Webster and Bubba Smith are the 1st two and there's really no arguing with it IMO.

I think Lorenzo White and Carl Backs are my other two. Percy Snow and Dennard were tough to keep off.

Kirk Gibson should be on the list.

Bob Apisa that's the guy.

That's who I would have voted for.

And yeah, Kirk Gibson too.

And Bubba Smith.

And then that dumb what's his name, the reciever who shot himself in the leg and went to jail for it.

Hall of fame list

Duffy
Bubba
Dantonio
Webster

Hall of Shame

John L
Bobby Williams

each on there twice

Have to include Denny Stoltz in the HOS. But what MSU was nicked for is incredibly venial compared to the sins that get overlooked today.

Who is Richard "Batman" Wood? I remember Stephen "Batman" Holman from the early 90s but never heard of Wood.

Wait ... Wood played for USC now that you mentioned Holman. Apologies. Let's go with Eric "The Flea" Allen as the fourth. Actually, no ... he was very good ... *thinking on feet* ... how about Bryan Clark?

quite impressive for someone who pays no attention to the spartans, knows nothing about the roster or who we play.

Oh, I have some past knowledge of the program when I did care more. Observe the epochs I focus on.

How about Stephen "Batman" Holman - if memory serves, he had some issues and ended up getting kicked off the team...

he's a closet Spartan fan. I've thought it all along, this confirms my suspicion.
