I think the drummer for the Black Crows Steve Gorman, who is a big sports fan and had a sports talk show on Fox for a while, is from Muskegon.

If it was to be renamed for a Spartan hockey player(s), the Miller family would be most deserving. There is the chance that the uninformed would think it was renamed for Jim Miller and thus a horrible idea, but most fans would know better.
