Purdue University's infrastructure & medical care is apparently more akin to the type of care you'd get in 1920's Alabama or Louisiana. I'm surprised they even had an x-ray machine there, and didn't proscribe blood letting, or diagnose Speight with "evil humours" or something like that.
note to Speight bashers: you may want to skip this one; article does not blame Speight for getting injured, or throwing interceptions, and has a picture of him with his parents, which may induce you to think of him as an actual human being, instead of a blip on your TV screen that you curse and throw things at.
