The lions need to draft better case closed. All around the board. Still need weapons, just as much as we need defense.

Get StartedOnce again, if the weapons are busts. They aren't really weapons. I wouldn't call Ryan Broyles, Ameer Abdullah, and unfortunately now due to injury Kerryon Johnson, or Eric Ebron as weapons.
To what degree did they not find success due to Matt not being a good game manager?
Ebron seems to be doing pretty well these days. Pretty sure Brady would have destroyed teams with those same "busts".
How many RBs failed because Matt could not properly check out of a run based on the D formation? How many times should Matt have checked to a run and out of a pass?
How many drops were due to him slinging the ball too hard and not having enough touch?
How many times did he not read coverage correctly and find the correct receiver? How many times did he not audible to different routes based on the coverage he saw pre-snap?
These are things a good game manager is able to do. They do not put everything on the ability of their arm, they setup other players to be as good as they can be, allowing the TEAM to win the game. Stafford always put it on his arm to win games.
Lol my favorite quote by lions fans... ?pretty sure Tom Brady would have been fine, pretty sure Aaron Rodgers would be great?. Nooooo fucking shit. Is that the standard Matt had to live up to? Then no wonder you were disappointed. It?s like bitching that Kenny Golladay (when healthy) isn?t Calvin Johnson so he sucks. I compare Matt to just about every other QB in the league. When they have success is when they have a lot of help! Jesus, you are spouting off without even knowing the answers to your own questions btw. So you?re just baselessly assuming that Matt didn?t know how to do any of what you were asking. I?d take a guess it?s because his team around him is trash. I?ll explain to you in one major way why I?m right and you?re a dipshit. Because we have witnessed a lot of these ?game managers? that you?re referring to that have winning records go down with injury. And their team records have barely moved. When Matt has gone done with injury, we haven?t had a shot to win a game. We were like 0- whatever. When Matt has been injured. That alone proves his impact and talent and how great his talent around him was.

I'm a dipshit? You obviously have lost this argument already by calling me that.
I'm willing to wait and see how it all plays out. I'm willing to give Goff the benefit of the doubt. I'm willing to see if Stafford succeeds with the Rams, or continues to just Suck Seed.
0-3 vs 2-2 in playoffs...but you would rather take the 0-3 QB...to each their own.
The Rams would and give picks for it.
LOL Stafford is a good QB who had a bad team with no support. Blaming run game on Stafford is absolutely comical. Especially since our opponents never stacked the box on us.
Goff is a average QB (potential to be good) who had good support for 2 years with 100 QB ratings then it waned and he got worse with turnovers as his run game went. And 2020 he got a ton of support but he didn't do enough with it, though they did win still as Goff did make some plays.
Goff needs a turnover fix like Stafford had with Caldwell
Stafford had several opportunities throughout his 12 year career to shine. #2 defense in the league...he couldnt win. Rodgers injured for the year....Flynn beats him. HOF Calvin Johnson couldnt wait to retire to get away from him. Always an excuse...means youre simply not good.
This trade was terrible for both teams. Rams mortgaged their future on a top 15 guy. Lions put their rebuild on hold by taking on a vet QB under a new $25 mil/yr contract and are now in cap hell with a team that has no talent, no ability to sign anyone and no draft picks this year lol. This is honestly one of the dumbest things ive ever seen 2 GMs do.
Stafford didn't lose to Flynn in 2013. They crushed the Packers 40-10 on Thanksgiving. Lots of those turnovers during that melt was not his fault especially Giants and Bucs games. Plus the Snow Bowl loss.
Lions went 11-5 with the number 2 defense. They didn't win in playoffs because the refs allowed that number 2 defense to be held like crazy and are picking up flags for no reason. 24 points given up by that number 2 defense because of it
Calvin retired due to injuries and other teams injuries. He loves Stafford. Stafford has done better without Calvin by the way too.
Stafford is good .Everyone knows he is good. All those teams offered good things for him. Rams and McVay (offensive genius in your eyes) love him
And of course you underatte Goff now that he is a Lion and give him zero chance before he has even played a snap. That is what you guys do
Go to the LA board please.
I can do both. I have two teams now.
No. The NFL proscribes dual-fan bases. You have to choose one or the other.
