I don't mind fans that criticize his mistakes every now and then, but I just can't figure out the fans who bang the drum for Shaun Hill to start.

Perhaps I should just pass them off as talk radio caller idiots?

I have to admit, Stafford had me fooled in the preseason. Guy was making bad throws in the preseason and it looked like he was going to repeat his 2012 season. The accuracy wasnt there, and I was a bit frustrated that he spent the entire offseason in Detroit, and wasnt impressing. We are seeing the extra work he put in now.

I would want to see Kellen Moore before Hill. He showed a lot of improvement in the preseason. Granted it was against scrubs but he looked more poised in the pocket and he has gained some arm strength.

I've been critical of his accuracy and think he dumps the ball down too much....but I've never once called for him to be replaced. I thought the offense opened up a bit without that big hunk of crap pettigrew running his 6 yard curl all game. Now linehan on the other hand....I'd be fine with letting him go.

I rarely completely agree with you but that is happening right now. Pettigrew and Linehan could both be replaced and I wouldnt mind at all. But Stafford is finally having the year where he is putting it all together.

He is definitely being more accurate this year than in years past. Hed be over 70% if people would actually catch the ball lol.

I attribute much of his success to the oline playing great.....much better than I expected. Oline was one of my questionmarks going into the year....I thought a lot of our success would depend on their play and most of them hadn't played together. Thusfar they've been one of the more consistent groups on the team. Props to them. Warlord is a monster. Reiff has been awesome.

Found this blurb in the PFF notes regarding Stafford's accuracy yesterday.

"Teams might pay attention to the Redskins strategy of blitzing Matthew Stafford. When they did he completed 45.8% of passes and walked away with a 64.8 QB rating. When they didn?t it was a completely different story. 77.8% completion percentage and a 137.0 QB rating."

To some degree I expect every QB to have less accuracy and less completions when blitzed. Maybe Staff is a bit larger differential, but if teams blitz more I think he will adjust and find some WRs open and make the D pay.ions have some potent weapons, so blitzing could be a very risky endeavor if looking solely at completion percentage. He migtt not complete as many, but I would bet when he does the yard average is pretty good.

No and I like what the OL has done so far I just don't think they can handle constant blitzes. In time but now we have a little man at C and some young first time starters ..

Ask for Stafford to be replaced by Hill would be something my 75 year old dad would say. Come to think of it he has a lot of free time to call and complain about stuff.
