Stafford knows people are talking about him being benched

What a joke of a list. Romo, Cutler/McCown (LMFAO), Dalton, Smith Flacco, Tannehill and Palmer!!!!!???? Are you fn kidding me??

You removed 6 off that list so you agree with all the others plus Newton and Luck? BTW check Dalton and Romo's numbers this year.

Tannehill
335/548, 61.1% Comp, 3709 yards, 23 TDs, 14 Ints, 84.6 Rating
Team 8-7, .520 SoS

Stafford
349/601, 58.1% Comp, 4433 yards, 28 TDs, 19 Ints, 83.6 Rating
Team 7-8, .464 SoS

Now compare the weapons...

Andy Dalton

Att Comp Pct Yds TDs Int RATING

if we lead the league in drops every year ill give you a hint whos problem it is....its not the WR/TE/RBs....its the shitty qb that can even be accurate on a 3 yard dump down.

So its the QBs fault that our offensive playmakers drop the ball? How so? lol

Why is Staff better than Romo? Just because he gets ripped on for his late int? Well Staff has late INT as well with much worse numbers. It's not even close.

Never said he was better than Romo. I think theyre the same QB

Ok, im not going to compare Calvin because he trumps all. But ill take the Dolphins secondary WRs and their TEs over ours. Stafford is better than Tannehill

Are we talking about talent or production?

I would agree that Stafford is top 10 talent, maybe even top 5. But I see him falling behind when it comes to production.

What is the argument, rather have this year or rather have going forward?

If we are talkin this year only:
Manning (Peyton)
Rivers
Rodgers/Flynn combo
Brees
Brady
Ryan
Wilson
Roetglisberger
Romo
Cutler/Mccown combo
Foles
Dalton
Smith
Flacco
Tannenhill
Palmer

Now if you are talking going forward the list is a lot shorter because of age etc. But his level of play needs to improve, he has shown he has ability to be a top 5 QB in this league. He just needs to figure out a way to play at that level consistently. I'm not sure if it's mental, mechanics, lack of preparation, arrogance, carelessness, coaching or what, but this level of play can not to tolerated in this organization any longer. I'm sick of potential, show it on the field. This season was a failure, QB play is the #2 reason why.

I would agree with the first seven QBs on that list minus Flynn (really?). The rest i wouldnt even let walk in the door over Staff. Theyre basically the same QB as Staff or worse. Give me a break .....and people had Rivers dumpster diving the last couple of years but now he's the man? lol

I should have clarified a bit more. You cant deny he's produced numbers but im basically going off talent. There are 5-7 QBs i would probably take over Stafford. That doesnt mean i hate Staff, im just being a realist

The way Stafford has struggled lately, his numbers are similar to the bottom half of that list of QBs

I'm in the same boat

I was a huge fan of the pick and I'm still a big Stafford fan. At times he can look incredible and I know the franchise depends on him. There's a few things that need fixing and hopefully management can make the moves necessary (with Stafford, with receivers who can catch the damn ball, and with better playcalling) to bring the production level up to his talent level. I don't see draft picks, trades, or Shaun Hill being the answers right now, there's no reason to give up on Staff yet.

I am with you both on Stafford, high talent and the next 5-6 years depends on his development. But something has to kickstart that development because this year and last have not been good enough.

I'm not completely sour on Stafford, but I would take a long look at all the QB's in this draft. To say its off the table is a mistake, even in the first round. With the new CBA rookie contracts are cheap, if a QB is there that can get it done they should be taken with the immediate intent of being the backup. Imagine if a QB slips and we passed, then a couple years later Stafford hasn't improved and that QB turns out to be an Aaron Rodgers type of talent. Talk about insult to injury. Money wise EJ manuel was the 16th pick and makes about the same as Hill so at worst you have a backup QB for the long term.

If you want insult to injury try this

Geno smith is the only starting QB in the second half with a completion percentage worse than side arm stafford...

Keep that up and he could get down there to tebow levels at this pace gesssh

Terrible matt stafford just gawd awful

Well to be fair, Tebow did win a playoff game.
