Stupid Tigers Trade Porcello for Cespedes + trade Suarez for Simple Simon from reds

He lead outfielders in assist's and thats with people not even running on him . If you dont think having that type of weapon in the outfield is beneficial then i dont know what to tell ya

The problem is that he's a bit like Ryan Raburn. He'll flub the easy catch then gun the guy out at second when they try to take the base they'd normally get. His arm will be something to see this season. I just hope he can cut down on the fundamental lapses he's prone to.

Don't shoot the messenger but I remember something about a clause in the contract for Cespedes that he couldn't be made a qualifying offer, so we get no draft pick after next year? that would not be good

Bob this makes to much sense for some of these people haha , nah they will hope and pray he stinks it up so they can do what they do best . Bitch and complain .

A typical fool. So complaining about a trade and suddenly we're not fans?

I sure hope you're wrong.

If Cespades is healthy he could return back to his form 3 years ago. I dunno about these 2 trades still. I did not see either one comming

You guys do realize nsonnet14 is just trolling right?

Notice how he only ever shows up in threads where people are complaining, so he can take the opposite side to the majority and call everyone fools, idiots, morons, etc.?

On top of that he baits mods on purpose, has been banned, and likely is getting off (literally hand in his pants) at this very moment thinking anyone really cares what he has to say.

Ignore him. On the rare occasion when he shows up to post it's just to bash other posters about how dumb they are. Nothing to see here.

You are correct , which is why we also got 2 prospects in the deal .

The 28-year-old signed a four-year, $36 million contact with the Athletics. Per terms of the deal, he can become a free agent if he isn't re-signed by Oct. 31, 2015, or five days after the last game Boston plays that season. In addition, the Red Sox are unable to make a qualifying offer to Cespedes, which means they would not receive Draft-pick compensation if he were to sign elsewhere as a free agent.

The 2 prospects we got were more like minor league cannon fodder or aka (minor league organizational depth)

That's why Boston wanted to trade him so bad

ahhh i see , so when we get prospects they are just trash and not worth anything , but when we send prospects in a deal the world is coming to an end

Everyone wants to blame DD. The person to blame is win now Illitch. If he wasn't on his death bed we could probably balance win now with building for the future. I wouldn't be surprised to see 200 million for Max next.

No, but when one is 28 years old and still in the minors it's fodder.

it might be a moot point, he's makign 8m per year now and you wouldn't want to offer him 15m for 1yr because he's most likely take it.

Also a good point. I guess if he has a season that would've warranted a qualifying offer we'll be happy.
