For us. He gone

In my opinion He won't be back next year and can't wait to get out of Detroit. His sister already told us all this couple years ago right, right..

He won't be here next year. Shame. I bet we draft another DT before we go corner in next years draft smh.

We can really upgrade our pathetic secondary and bring in a suitable replacement with the money that he is going to demand. I say let him go, he's not worth it.

if suh really is gone after this season, I can see them drafting a CB in the first and a DT in the 2nd round

I don't think Suh is going anywhere. Probably going to take a long negotiation, though.

I'll be very surprised if he's still in detroit next year, where does everything think he'll end up?

Probably the Jets with the Jay-Z connection. New York is big money in endorsement deals. Just ask A-Rod and Jeter, who both made significantly more money in advertising than they did on the field.

Suh can clean up in the Big Apple.

The better question isn't where a former Lions player ends up after he becomes a former player, but what happens next.

Suh gone. Fairley gone. Seems like the place to transition to the 3-4 to me.

I've heard people mention a potential LB corp of Levy, Tulloch, Van Noy, and Whitehead, but to me it seems more natural in that alignment to move Ansah back to LB and let Whitehead give guys a rest.

Which leaves you a big nose tackle and a DE away from completing the transition.

I don't know why anyone is speculating on this. I get the fans, but all of a sudden a bunch of anonymous sources say he wants out of detroit? To me, it sounds like "friends" with an agenda.

I absolutely do not blame Suh for how he's reacting. He's done nothing to make people think he's leaving. The only people talking about it are anonymous sources that ESPN and NFLN and the local media want to hold up on a pedestal and repeatedly shove in his face.

He's helped the team by restructuring his contract at least two or three times (correct me if i'm wrong) and never complains about the direction of the team or the lack of talent that he's had behind him.

Now, if he wants a contract similar to what he's getting paid this year (sorry, he's not getting that amount anywhere) he's an idiot. He can walk and we'll just pay out money to other more deserving players.

I don't think a simple, "I'm here in Detroit and my plans are to stay in Detroit" will help. Someone of Suh's caliber? It always happens. A player says that exact line and more anonymous sources come forth.

agree and disagree. I have no idea why the media is making this a story. Its very obvious theres 2 potential reasons why he doesn't have a deal already:

1) he doesn't want to be here
2) he wouldn't mind being here but wants to drive his price up on the open market first

duh...reporters....duh

On the the other hand...I have to give credit where credits due....schefter has his ways and most he reports ends up being accurate...very accurate. Hes not going to break a store because of "some unnamed sources."

The fact he didn't sign a deal in the off-season is reason enough for me. Plus other teams have more money. Not one chance in a million he signs here. Not one.

Suh and his sister were always planning this. Jay z met suh at the draft and the wheels started turning then. Couple that with his sister tweeting about leaving detroit and what not. I can't wait to see this guy go. Please take your 5 sacks a year for 15 mil a year elsewhere.

Judging a DT solely on how many sacks a year he has is unbelievably short sighted. He is an absolute beast in the middle and this D would not be nearly as good without him. He's extremely disruptive in both the run and passing games, and allows everyone else around him more room to make plays. Suh is the anchor of the ENTIRE defense.

That said, NO DT is worth what he is making this year. If he wants that kind of money to stay....let him walk. I have a feeling that we will be seeing Mr. Suh in a different uniform next year.

I don't want that to happen, but I believe he is going to ask for too much, and the draw of a NY team and the endorsements that go along with it will be too much.

13-15 mil a year could go a long wat for both upgrading the depth and secondary. I wouldnt be too surprised if we resigned Fariley and rolled with Fairley and Reid next year.

Get another mid round FA and have some extra cash for free agency.

If Suh leaves, he'll want to go to a team that wins, has lots of cap space, and a need at DT. Two teams that immediately come to mind are the Colts and Bears. Both have ample cap space. Both have won more often than the Lions (the Colts especially), and both have obvious needs on their D-line. The ways the Colts have been splurging on free agents lately makes them my top guess right now.

Suh seems to be more interested in his brand marketing.....so, to me it seems, he is looking to go to a big BIG market....Chicago, NY. I would put my money on those two places.
