Such a sad riches to rags story.

From the corner of SI and a "Heisman hopeful" as a Wolverine to apparently OUT at San Jose State

Ha. We must have received the tweet about the same time.

Quarterback Tate Forcier has withdrawn from San Jose State and is no longer a part of the football program, according to a source.
Forcier's tenuous academic standing played a role in his decision, the source said.
The former Michigan starter never played a down for the Spartans after enrolling, to much fanfare, last summer.
He sat out the 2011 season under NCAA transfer rules and purportedly was focused on getting his academics in order.
Forcier was expected to start for the Spartans next season.
Instead, SJSU will choose from a group of unproven candidates, including Dasmen Stewart, Blake Jurich, Joe Gray and recruit David Fales, who has transferred to SJSU from Monterey Peninsula College, according to Scout.com.
Fales originally signed with Nevada.
Stewart is the most experienced of the quartet, having played in four games last season. He completed 40.4 percent of his passes, with no touchdowns and one interception.

Does he not understand that you have to go to class and pass if he wants to play.

I didn't think it was possible for the starting QB to flunk out of college. I cannot fathom the amount of extra help he had to of gotten from tutors, friends, teammates, coaches, teachers, assistants...I mean come on. Wish I had access to the number of tutors and hours of assistance he has gotten through the years, but I guess he just couldn't focus or something. Maybe someone needed to get him on ritalin or something, cuz that just doesn't seem possible.

Yeah, the kid is troubled by something. I liked Tate when he was playing for Michigan. I thought he showed real promise as a qb until the ohio game. Things really went down hill for him fast. I hope he gets himself together. Don't understand why there is negative feelings towards him with some Michigan fans.

I agree. He cannot possibly be that dumb, can he? it has to be something else, either mental issues, or some learning disabilities, like undiagnosed extreme ADHD, or dyslexia, etc.
