Taylor Lewan Suspended Four Games

That was kinda established years ago, no?

I can't remember, did he do the whole lie detector move with the Gibbons ordeal too?

I don't know, but short of raping someone himself, he couldn't have gone much lower in that episode.

Folks in Scottsdale that knew him in HS have told me he’s not a very smart guy.

The empathy meter is certainly not budging. I do not see the connection between alleged lack of intelligence and unknowingly taking a banned substance. Thomas Davis did the same exact thing last season. The NFL is very unforgiving over the small print and positively libertine when it comes to the gross inractions. I think that's the issue here.

agreed, it is the issue. It's almost as if they crack down on minor and unintentional infractions to increase the average penalty so they can say they're tough on violators.

Golden Tate just got a 4 game suspension for testing positive for a banned substance. Apparently he took something to increase his swimmer count because he an his wife are trying to conceive. Local sports talk radio guys were talking about it this morning saying they think he'll win on appeal.

...

It's almost as if???

No... I think it is.

The NCAA does this too.

I just think there are some who make poor decisions and that can be attributed to being called "not smart."
