Who would you pick? And no, coaches are ineligible.

It's so easy to go with Denard, but I would have to give it to Fitz Toussaint. He completed our offense and took all the pressure off of denard to let him do what he does best. Also averaged near 6 yards per carry.

I went with Junior Hemmingway, he made the big catch when called upon and probably would have lost the ND game if it weren't for him

Really hard to choose................Kovacs, he tackled so well in the open field. There could have been many big plays if not for him.

Mike Martin. Captain, Leader, and Anchor of the D.

Martin was the anchor of the D all year, he will be hard to replace. With the turnaround on the Defensive side of the ball, the MVP would have to come from the Defense IMO.

Martin commanded double teams all season, and was always a force.

This is a hard choice. I went with DR, but this year was really a team effort. So many players making key plays. As Bo would have said "The Team, The Team, The Team".

This is such a tough one this year.

Offensively I'm inclined to go with Fitz, because without a steady option at RB we've seen what can happen to this offense against good teams. But then, where would this offense be without Denard? Would Fitz still get 6 a carry with another QB in there?

On defense I think the biggest improvement from the last few years is lack of big plays given up. An obvious area to look at in that regard is safety, which along with the big plays he made in the box, makes you think of Kovacs. But if Martin, and to a lesser extent Van Bergen, weren't holding down the line as well as they did who knows what would have happened to the secondary.

So in the end I think I have to take the cop out and say team. If Denard would have limited his picks to 10 or so he'd be the easy choice.

I'm going to put in a vote for Demens, just for discussion's sake. I think that it should be a defensive player.

MVP - Has to be Denard.

Where would we have been this season without him?

Kovacs would be 2nd.

You could make a case for Toussaint... if you exclude the 1st half of the season when he didn't play much.

yeah, he did make a lot of plays, and he did it quietly.

and that is Hoke's philosohpy and the players have bought it '

all their interviews they always commented about other players making it possible

And the good news is that there are many players to consider in the discussion, though DR is the clear winner.

I went with Drob because it is hard for me to pick a RB that had fewer rushing yards than the QB and Martin was the easily the best D player he would get the D POY award but Robinson basically won that ND game for us.

Its hard not to think with DRob gone if they would have won more than 3-4 games. So i voted for him. But there were some other great moments by key players.
