I actually think WVU would do great. Morgantown is a tough place to play. I think their recruiting would take off.

Lol yeah.. Just great hahahaha

We need to get Okey, Okey st and a team from the North east. ASAP

Notre Dame is the first choice. A historic football program, very solid basketball program and Big Ten academic standards. They will have to pick a conference if the Mega-conferences develop. I could see Pitt being an obvious choice with the strong academics and FB and BB programs. Maybe Boston College not even close as likely... Oklahoma is going to be tough to snag. There was talk of Mizzou, hopefully not. I remember hearing Texas a while ago but the BTN would force them to ditch their own TLN and a serious amount of money. Should be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Wv can't win the Big East, how are they going to do well in the Sec lol.

But I would like the sooners or horns, notre dame, mizzo, kansas, pitt, and va tech.( I doubt we get va tech due to grades)

We really need another top football program if they go into super conferences, and notre dame doesn't count.

Get Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas, and Kansas State. Everyone keeps talking about Syracuse, Rutgers, and Pitt, but I haven't seen anything that says they want to leave the big least. Not sure how those Big 12 teams stack up in Academics, but sportswise they fit pretty well. then we can have a north and south division instead of leaders and legends.

NY market would be a huge get for the B1G and Academics are a huge factor.. OK State and Kansas State aren't in the running just because of academics alone.

But does adding Syracuse and/or Rutgers really tap into the NY market? Does anyone give a fuck? I just don't see how adding either or both of those teams would increase the demand for the BTN in NYC enough to get the local cable companies to add it or get many people to pay extra for it.

ND is the only team I'd like to see join the Big 10. Any others we "have to" add to keep up with the Jones are unlikely to make me happy.

Indeed

what if we just snatched notre dame and pitt? i mean that'd help basketball and football and notre dame by itself brings a HUGE nationwide fanbase. I'd rather just add two so we're not too big, but it seems like everyone's looking at 16 as the magic number.

Man, I was hoping Mizzou would be in the Big Ten. Better go hard after Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas and Kansas State now.

You are correct sir. If the Big 10 wants to tap into the New York market, we are going to have to invite NYU or Juliard, and I personally don't think they can field teams. If Syracuse and Rutgers were such hot commodities then they would fill their stadiums like the pro teams in those towns do. No one cares about those schools.

WVU may not win the SEC, but they would start plucking kids from Penn St., Ohio, and VA Tech just because the SEC is the pretty girl in the room right now(courtesy of ESPN). As far as VTech is concerned, I think their academics are a little bit better than you think. Actually better than a lot of Big 10 schools.

Notre Dame and Pitt would be perfect in every aspect.. What everyone is saying is the sec would pick up Va Tech and keep FL State and Miami out. You shitcan the big east and make a bigger better Acc with your beloved WVU in it.
