Texas was a better team

Yes I said it. I thought going in they were a smidge better than Detroit. The Yanks had the best record, but they way overachieved with that pitching staff. (Shows experience, chemistry, and other unquantifiable intangibles matter).

Tigs did a good job at getting at TX starters, but that bullpen, esp. with Ogando, was insane. That be the diff. The longer a game goes, the better the Rangers are positioned to win. What is worse is they just signed a massive TV deal which puts them almost into the Red Sox/Yankee territory with cash. Prince Fielder?

They were a better team? Really?

What clued you in? Was it that the 7 stick in the lineup hit about a hundred fuckin' home runs?

Or maybe it was because they won 4 games. I'd look there first.

thanks for the sarcasm...I was responding to the folks that will come out and try blaming Leyland, Inge, Betemit, the umpires, the weather, the alignment of the stars, Satan, etc etc for the loss....

Speaking of "Satan" I wonder what Bush said to the HP ump, before he squeezed Scherzer, like a fresh orange, and the Tigers' hitters on animated called-strikes and outs on Ks like he was doing the bossa-nova...hmm.

Maybe the exchange went something like this:

Ex-POTUS Bush: "Hi Tom..are the rangers going to win tonight, b/c Nolan here and I have a date to go fishing together tomorrow afternoon, on my [stocked] pond on my property??"

HP ump Tom Hallion: "Why uhhh... sure they will George, and what do you want the final score to look like?"

Bush: "Well, we have to be certain that there is no chance that the Tigers, ummm....might be able to win the game later on....soo, whatever you can do about that in this inning or the next would be very helpful!!"

Hallion: "I'll get right on it, Mr. President!!"

Bush: "Okay thanks, want to join us tomorrow?"

Hallion: "Love to, but I'll have to clear it first with my wife, she is expecting me to come home after the "if necessary" game Sun...oh wait, there won't BE any 7th game necessary, tomorrow afternoon...haha!!"

Bush: "Thats right..haha!!"

with their bullpen, they didnt need quality starts. they're a better team in every facet except starting pitching, and they barely needed theirs.

Scherzer and Porcello's lack of consistancy is what got us in the end. They have the stuff to be high #3 starters, they just need to stop having dominating games followed by complete collapses.

Throw Perry into that mx...

Who cares it still hurts.... A lot of teams that were the better teams have lost series... Game 4 was the swing game damn it in this series and you all know who I feel lost that game for the Tigers..... I never get over losing because you never know when you are going to get back. 1968 become 1972. 72 became 1984. 84 became 1987. 87 became 2006. 06 became 2011. We're the Tigers we don't get that many shots at it damn it... For crying out loud we hit more homers then they did and not one of there starters went 5 innings....
