the navy

I'm not real sure where the crying face came from? Lol so ignore that

I've been on a boat a couple times. The first time, the weather was bad. I got seasick and threw up the Lucky Charms I had for breakfast. I was 7.

I loved my time in the Army. I respect all of our people that are serving or have served in the military. I'm sure being in the Navy would be a great experience and you'd see things that you never would've been able to otherwise. There are a few posters here that were in the Navy, I think. Hopefully, they'll see your post.

I did both the Army and college. Its not crazy.

One of my best friends growing up just got out. No real chance of action so it beats the army.. Reserves wouldn't be a horrible idea, I had a few friends who joined. If you are serious and have what it takes become a marine.

If I had to pick one I'd pick the air force. That always seemed way cooler to me. Flying awesome things and blowing stuff up with big missiles/bombs. I don't know if I could be on a boat for months at a time.

Both M_RABID and Michigan QB_U served in the Navy and an infrequent poster/Ohio fan named MikeyT did too .... My Aunt & Uncle are each US Navy retired and my cousin (their daughter) is active Navy. A lot of respect for the military but no personal experience to share with you though I do watch NCIS a lot (like Tinsel)

Well one of the reasons is to pay for school loans lol. And the air force only pays up to 10,000

I think I could do the marines. Except the chances of getting shot at. Not a fear of dying as much of just losing a leg or arm. I think id be a very grumpy man if I couldn't go play sports or do anything.

Especially on facebook. See a status like "my iphone just broke. Fml" id reply with "I lost my fucking leg, stop your bitching"

The only problem with the navy is, they keep you away for a long time. Almost the whole year. And I have a 5month boy.

But thanks everybody.

The reserves sound ideal for you.. Especially with not wanting to be away from your son.

If your goal is to earn money for college, go with the service branch with the lowest chance of dying.

Dying kinda makes the college part pointless.

And that'd be the navy.

My best friend is in the Navy, I get all my knowledge from him.
