LOL please explain to me how Alabama currently has 29 commits and is still on the list of maybe 5 more.

It's the Sec.. and Saban will cut 10 players this spring.

They don't give a shit about NCAA rules and just cut kids to make room. They just told a kid who had been committed for over a year that they could only sign 25 kids while they already had a class of 27 guys without him.

Just wait until Nebraska starts to try to pull that shit again.

BB, Have you heard anything about Ron Thompson and Michigan? I'd love to have him since losing Brown and losing Grant to Okl. Thompson is also good friends with Shane and the two gel very well together. I wish Michigan would have taken Northfleet as well. Oh well.

Thompson will not happen, there are worries about his grades i believe. Norfleet would have been good but he is too small.

Damn, that sucks about Thompson. How the hell is he going to get into Syracuse. It's a pretty hard school to get into if i'm not mistaken.

With Vincent Smith being a senior next year you would think they would bring in another 3rd down scat back. Too bad. RR would have snatched him up in a second.

It all depends on the major you apply for, engineering is extremely hard to get into along with broadcasting.

So Willie Henry has made it official and has committed to UofM. I don't what the deal was with Ted Ginn Sr trying to leak it out last night, but it didn't affect Henry's decision.

I don't know if I'm that excited over Willie Henry. Yes, there are plenty of 3 star contributors on the team. Would the coaches have offered this guy if they hadn't missed on higher rated prospects? Are they taking a flyer on this kid because they have a few scholarships open? Is this a kid that they just didn't realize was good enough to play for Michigan until a week ago?

Don't give me the stuff about getting into Glenville either. Michigan could pick up a low rated player from Glenville anytime they want.

That being said, if they are truly taking a flier on the guy, then its good to get him from the midwest. I still don't think they are all of a sudden going to make inroads into Glenville, though.

Kid has good size, at only 270 and 6'3" he has a lot of room to add good weight. He will most definitely have to RS, and then probably won't see much action until he is a Junior. Even if he is raw talent, what better program to get coached up.

I know people love his highlight tape, but a highlight tap is as good as a porno. Its filmed that way to look good, and get people excited. I like the kids build, I don't know shit about his technique. However UM is where the Greatest Defense in College Football is being built.

I knew a lot of kids in high school that were 6 3 270. Just saying that a kid is that tall and that weight doesn't reall mean much to me. How is the weight distributed? is he a fat ass? is he muscular?

i like this. at least we know the guy isn't going to try to have his kids leaning toward ohio.

I'll believe it when he steers a kid to Michigan that has an offer from Ohio St

i don't care about that. i just don't want him steering a kid AWAY from us.

Wouldn't steering a kid towards OSU that MIchigan offerred be the same thing as "steering a kid away from us?"

What I'm happy with is that he's not telling his kids not to go to UM. I wouldn't expect any more from him.

Yeah. Let's say a kid from there likes michigan and some other school. And he was steering the kids to go to the other school, just so he doesn't go to michigan.

Yep, dude's an obvious Ohio guy. Of course he's going to want his kids to go to Ohio, but as long as he's not trying to convince them that Michigan is the devil, it's a win for us.
