The Official MSU vs ][V][ichigan Game Thread

Guys, just stop already. It took far more than this one play to win/lose the game.

Let's say he does "just fall on it". The way the game went, how can you say MSU doesn't complete the Hail Mary for the win?

They didn't blow out MSU because the D was anything but their normal self. MSU didn't blow out UM because THIS year's team is NOT 5-7 and being coached by Hoke.

Get some perspective, or drunk, or both. MSU won. It was a lucky play at the end, but their team played well enough to be in position to have that lucky play win the game. UM lost which sucks as a UM fan, but that one play was far from the reason they lost. How many crucial penalties did they commit on O and D? How many blown assignments? How many coaching decisions resulted in bad plays? How does the D give up a 70+ yard TD to get the game to 23-21?

TEAM LOSS with a considerable amount of luck for MSU on that last play. But hell, there have been games won when a punter kicks the ball and it gets returned for a game winning TD. This type of shit happens even in the NFL.

Pull up your big boy pants, acknowledge, and move on.

Maybe Bolden stop him at 5 yards

I'm a little over it now but man I've never seen anything like that and hopefully never again.

My wife and I are supposed to have friends over to watch NFL games all day today. I may just sit in another room and play Nintendo. I'm considering never watching football again.

Oh it will happen again. It has happened more times than I can count. Acknowledge and move on, at the end of the day there are many more important things so while this sucks, the team needs the fan base to stay strong. Besides, how great is it that UM is competitive again?

I just hope any recruits who were on the fence are able to see past that play and resulting loss. I feel the best way to sway them back is to beat OSU.

And the players now understand they need to get that edge back and be nasty again. More than anything else, that is what was so baffling and disappointing. I want that D back, and not just for the remainder of this year, but from now on. It won't happen of course, but it sure would be nice if it could. If it can only happen one more time, let it be vs OSU.

3That type of play you will never see again in your life.. 0.2 percent chance msu wins in that spot...it happened to us like crap always seems to happend for years. Either in good years or bad years Michigan just can't get out of its own way except in a few years or too.... drop punt fumble return for a td :/ you may see it in pee-wee football but never again on you life in college or pro to end a game.

Maybe by a poor high school team...

Just even the second part of the fumble couldn't be guarantees to fall into msu hands

@JBooty_88: One play didn't lose that game. We had other opportunities to win but didn't execute. We will stick together and come out stronger from this

I hope the entire team, from the coaches to the third-stringers, comes out and smashes the faces of every team they face for the rest of the year.

It was a great game the end notwithstanding. I wanted this as much as any other UofM fan here, but we did not take full advantage of all our opportunities as others have said. Missing Chesson wide open deep again (we've said all year that was going to haunt us), failing to convert 3rd and 3 to ice the game at the end etc. Giving up a 70 yard play to a fullback is inexcusable also. As for Blake, I can't kill a kid for panicking like that after he's done so much for this team this year. It's unfortunate, and I hope the team rallies around him.

So I tip my hat to MSU. They played hard and did just enough to win. Michigan can move forward and still have a tremendous season. I do not fear playing anybody at this point including OSU. Lots of football left, and as we saw last night.....crazy things can happen.

Michigan IS back and we aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Go Blue!!
