The Who Gives a Crap Bowl

Any other bowl game not playoff-related should be proscribed from this day on.
By proscribed, you mean... not played? Or entirely voluntary for the players?

I'm okay with either. I think the coaches should have to work their asses off for it, though. Give underclassmen, and any departing seniors a shot at some PT and glory, and let everyone looking to go pro focus on earning their dime.
 
With regard to being meaningless, the benefit of the bowls is that it rewards teams that had a decent season to get more practice time and also gives the younger guys and guys that weren't starters and aren't going to the NFL one last chance to wear the maize and blue and get some time on the field. Also, gives those guys some time on TV. So, not entirely meaningless. I'll be watching, but probably would not travel to the game unless it was local.
