throw his ass off the island.

Leyland's gonna have next season ala Jackson, who hopefully won't be their leadoff hitter. IF Austin continues to "scuffle" @ the plate (and I'm being very generous calling it that) and has a horrid year defensively, like he had during much of the postseason, then the Tigers may/will be looking for a new CF, if not replacing nearly their entire damned outfield, it being largely sub-par/awful defensively, and mostly unimpressive overall offensively.

The entire team is very flawed overall defensively, w/ a few at best being "adequate"...and obviously NONE truly being standouts, with maybe the lone exception of a fresh early season Avila behind the plate. Inge I must say, played his heart out during the postseason, but where was his performance hiding during the regular season, when some, if not many teams may have outright released Brandon instead of giving him another shot after being DFAed??

Tigers' FO has to quit fucking around, b/c next season the Indians and maybe the rapidly improving Royals "should" present a bigger challenge, depending on the quality of their pitching, and I dunno about the Twins, it will depend on whether they are willing to be active in the off-season, else face an ever-shrinking attendance in their newer ballpark, as their fans aren't likely going to come out in droves to see an uncompetitive, cellar-dwelling Twins team next season, IF they don't.

The FA market, at least for IFers blows chunks, and both the Yankees AND esp. the Red Sox are going to go all-out to improve their pitching, maybe to a lesser degree, their hitting/defense, and there ALSO is the ALWD, of course, with the disappointed Angels and perhaps even the Rangers, should they again fail to win the WS, who also will be looking to improve their rosters.

Move him down to 9. Change his batting stance or something. And regardless of aj's defense woes in the post season he's a hell of a defensive CF.

his biggest problem is his outrageous leg kick. theres a reason the yankees were trying to make him get rid of it. i dont think ive ever seen anyone else swing through so many low 90s fastballs right down the middle because he couldnt catch up to them.
