i hear all of these reports about appling and how his shot looks good and how he's improving, that's horseshit.

I don't get the Appling injury. Supposedly happened during the UNC game and yet he had 9 games with 10+ points and 4 with 20+ points after that game. Then out of nowhere it becomes a huge issue.

The biggest thing with this team is that there is no heart.

It just never got better. He reinjured it a couple times and it finally just "locked up" on him.

We just don't have someone that takes over when the team is struggling and settles them down. We just keep making whatever mistakes we're making all game. Someone just has to step up and take that leadership role. Appling and Payne are just too passive to do it. Valentine is the only player that I can see that might have that "it" factor to be that guy. I just can't think of one great team that we've had that didn't have that guy.

Poor effort all around! Your first post summed everything pretty well, I find myself caring a little less with every halfhearted performance these guys put on.

Walton talked to the team after the game and asked what's wrong, he wasn't getting a kot of responses and then byrd stood up. I wish this team had some kind of vocal leader like they did in the past

I was never worried about this team until yesterday, everything looked fixable with health. Izzo kept saying it would take a while to get back in sync but we didn't expect an 18pt half.

I wasnt technically worried until the Nebraska loss, after the Dawson and Appling injuries there was a complete loss of momentum. This doesnt look like an Izzo team right now, we were missing shots yesterday but I didnt see the normal hustle and thats a concern.
