Projected Line ups

Tigers (7-13)
Scrubs -N- Duds

P: Boyd 0-1 4.50

Brewers (15-7)
Don't know Don't care.

P: Rea 0-0 4.22

Game Notes:

It?s the Tigers? first visit to Milwaukee since 2021, and just the franchise?s 17th game in Wisconsin since the Brew Crew jumped to the National League in 1998. They?re 4-6 all-time at the Brewers? ?new? stadium, which opened in 2001, by the way, after splitting the series there in 2020 and 2021.

Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Matthew Boyd (48) pitches against the Houston Astros in the first inning at Minute Maid Park in Houston on Monday, April 3, 2023.

While we?re on the topic of blasts from the past, the Brewers? offense is led by shortstop Willy Adames, who?s in his sixth big-league season despite not turning 28 until September. Adames, of course, was a Tigers farmhand back in the day; he was shipped to Tampa Bay as an 18-year-old in the July 2014 deal that brought left-hander David Price to the Tigers for parts of two seasons.

  • The Brewers' .255 batting average is eighth-best in the majors.
  • Milwaukee has the No. 9 offense in MLB play, scoring 4.9 runs per game (108 total runs).
  • The Brewers are seventh in baseball with a .333 on-base percentage.
  • The Tigers rank last in MLB with a team batting average of just .209.
  • Detroit has scored 60 runs (just 3.0 per game) this season, which ranks last in MLB.
  • The Tigers have an OBP of just .273 this season, which ranks 29th in MLB.

I can look up the lineups, but it would be nice if they were posted here as they used to be.

The schitck is wearing thin, IMO.

You are more than welcome to do the game threads if you'd like I lack motivation to overly care too much about the Tigers in general and do not go out of my way at all for them anymore, they are not my priority. The lineups aren't typically posted until an hour or two before game time either. By the time they are posted I'm out getting in my miles in, then I eat dinner and don't even end up listing or following along to the games at all, by the time I check in on them the games are often over or nearly over. On the weekends I have much better things to do and won't even sit in front of my computer for 2 mins to start a thread so please by all means take them over for us all starting tomorrow.

Idea: Post the day's Rotowire lineup link. It will post expected and confirmed lineups for all teams. I think we can find the Tigers' lineup that way. Set and forget.

I'll take it under advisement. I'll also still plan to not start the thread tomorrow to see if you do.

No, I'll just access the lineups as I already mentioned. Thanks for considering my suggestion.

bet ya didn't know any of this or see it coming..

If you would prefer to keep Eduardo Rodriguez rather than deal him ..knowing its a guarantee unless his elbow blows up..that he opts out..
DET could offer him 2/64M to make the current deal=5/110M.

I know MLB is a K league these days but 36.8% is ridiculous for a young ball player. Especially for a non HR guy. Him and Tork are disappointing me.

Maton with a 3 run homer after we ran into 2 outs with a missed hit and run by baddoo and Riley thinking it was OK for us to have 2 runners on 3rd. The basic baseball IQ on this team is laughable and I'm starting to think AJ isn't a good manager when his team isn't cheating.

Boyd has had 2 out of 3 innings that he struck out the side but gave up a 2 out homer in both innings.

So like, what are talking here?

No game thread for tomorrow?

No game thread again ever?

Riley and Spencer are huge disappointments sadly. They both could use a long hitting streak.

Do you guys know it's incredibly rare for 22 year olds to come right into the bigs and hit? Neither of them have 500 at bats yet and you 2 wanna throw them in the scrap heap. Ridiculous
