I know the guys been moved a lot in recent times so it could suggest that he's certainly not available. It also should known that this is coming from Jim Bowden, anything he says should not only be taken with a grain of salt, but also if you could chuck the bottle over your right shoulder (try to avoid seabass).

Players to market:

Jed Lowrie, SS/2B: I doubt he gets traded, but the Astros have to listen. The Tigers could offer Houston a decent prospect package.

you have to be an insider to read it all, yes I know what wonderful information you get by being an insider *insert random roll eyes here*.

Now all this aside, Jed Lowrie would be a huge addition for us up the middle. He's not Roberto Alomar with the leather but surely he would be a huge spark of offensive atop this ever bleeding walk starved lineup.

I just posted about adding Guerrero, but this would be a much better addition b/c it solves offense and 2b. However, it could cost a lot more.

DET would be buying high on a player just entering arbitration and due for a big salary bump. You could argue he has done nothing until this year (age 28), which could be a "fluke".

Career Home = .804 OPS

Career Away = .727 OPS

My opinion....I would pass.

You talking about Vlady? The Blue Jays snatched him up...
