Tigers @ Minn 4/30 Game 23

Tigers beat the Twins 4-1. Uptons 3-run homer is the difference, and K-Rod gets the save.

Tigers have quietly won 4 in a row and 5 or their last 6. Hope we can keep it going and get some payback in Cleveland next!

Upton comes up big in the first with a two out 3 run upper deck shot and that was all the Tigers needed today as Zimmerman improves to 5-0. Tigers win 4-1 and improve to 13-10.. 4 in a row.

Yes not looking past tomorrow but the Tigers owe Cleveland some pay back, that home stand with them was brutal and still leaves a bad taste 6-7 days later.

I totally blanked out and thought today was Sunday haha. Forgot about tomorrow's game.

Nick C. leads the AL in avg, and Zimmermann is tied with Chris Sale and Jake Arrieta for wins in MLB. Take that for what it's worth though.

1-2 post during game. All time low.

Days games are more difficult for me to watch every inning, then on top of that Weekends are yard, run and workout days, much prefer night games, most of the game threads so far this year haven't been overly active, less and less regulars following, getting more and more less fanatical about now also, have just accepted that it's never going to happen.

STREAKS AND STATS:
Upton's first inning home run left his bat at 110 miles per hour.

Victor Martinez picked up his 14th extra base hit in only 23 games this season.

Francisco Rodriguez racked up his career save number 392, most among active relievers.

I believe it. It got out as fast as any homer I've seen.

Miguel Cabrera is two home runs shy of former Tiger Darrell Evans for 50th on the all-time list. Cabrera hit his 412th long ball in Friday's game to tie Alfonso Soriano for 51st all-time.

The Royals have lost 5 in a row as well. We leapfrogged them into second place in the Central.
