Tonight?s game between the Phillies and the Detroit Tigers has been rescheduled due to the air quality in the Philadelphia area. The game will be made up on Thursday, June 8, at 6:05 p.m.

With tonight?s postponement, Tigers changed their pitching plans for Thursday, using Tyler Holton as an opener. Reese Olson had been slated to start tonight.

Well this is a first. I've never seen a postponement due to smoke. I would have thought we'd have a few of these when Leyland was managing the team.

Old Smokes is prolly in the middle of Manhattan inhaling the smoke to clean his lungs

The Detroit Tigers are averaging 3.26 runs per game their lowest in team history..remember the last time DET passed on an elite hitter and drafted a pitcher. Hint, Jobe instead of Marcelo Mayer.

Here?s Beau Brieske?s first inning of rehab work. He threw 15 pitches, 10 for strikes. Picked up a pair of strikeouts. Fastball sat at 95 and he threw a few breaking balls in 85-86 range.

Terrible throw by Nevin to the plate. Should have nailed that slow runner.

Also. How dumb are the Tigers and Olsen throwing Nick a strike on the first pitch ?
Nick loves the first pitch.

Nevin breaks up the no hitter with a single after a error by Clemens.
.runners at the corners 1 out.
Pitching change.
