Tigers-Red Sox opener April 5 on ESPN2

I hope they kick their ass. The reason why I love football and baseball. Football ends, baseball right around the corner :)

Exactly. I watch more football as the season progresses, but did enjoy having the Lions on a couple/three times during the season besides Thanksgiving and also that NFL redzone channel.
Watch alot more basketball (Celtics) than hockey, but once we get through January I get psyched with Feb. 1 knowing pitchers and catchers report mid month.

When it is the offseason, I feel like it takes forever to get to the next season, but now baseball is right around the corner, and it feels like it hasn't been any time at all, and I love it!

I'm very much in the minority, but I was pretty excited about the NBA getting going again, even though the Pistons are terrrrrrrible this year. And I also love how football leads us right up to the MLB season getting going again!

What would my life be like without sports lol

This football season was a blur....probably b/c of the Tigers run

Get to see JV whip Lesters ass.

I'm excited already.

Hmm...I wonder what will be discussed moar by the ESPN announcing team, Justin's magnificent MVP/Cy Young award-winning '11 season...OR the Dread Sux September-long WC-losing swoon??

Like being a hometown-only sportsfan in Buffalo NY with 3/4ths of the year being the same as the months of January-February for most of us?

Wait a while. Buffalo has 2 major sports teams, the Bills and Sabres. They have always had some AAA team as well, as I recall. And, years ago, they had the NBA team, the Braves (71-78). Things are far worse in places like Salt Lake City, Portland, Oklahoma City and Green Bay, where there's only 1 out of the major 4 sports teams in town. Guess you could add Columbus to that list if you don't consider OSU a "professional team" in the classical sense.

Yeah I know, but Buffalo, NY was just the first city that I thought of, thats all there was to it. I really don't have anything in particular against those sportfans living in Buffalo, as being Buffaloans? Buffalonians?? Buffaloites??? ...lol.

My 2 grand post...yay!!

I have no life...haha!!

Its alright though, b/c at least I have an "excuse" being disabled and age 55, and I used to have one when it really mattered.
