I didn't see a game thread. It was delayed for a while. Right now it's 2-0 Twins in the top of the 5th. Twins with a 2 run HR.

At times for stretches' this team is like the 2003 as far as hitting.

Shit, this team is on a record breaking bad pace this year. No idea how Scott Coolbats still is the hitting coach

Mike Hessman is the assistant hitting coach. This is a failure for Garza and player development for the franchise.

Miguel Cabrera (May)
315/346/494
840 OPS

Robbie Grossman 8/73 in May
8 for his last 80 total
Robbie Grossman has drawn one walk in his past 36 plate appearances. He is hitting .118 (4-for-34) with one double and 11 strikeouts during this stretch.

Willie Castro 1 for his last 20..
average EV 81.1
45% chase rate

Tigers averaging 2.71 runs per game, counting unearned runs. Some career ERAs:
Mo Rivera 2.21
Clayton Kershaw 2.48
Jacob DeGrom 2.49
Whitey Ford 2.75
Sandy Koufax 2.76
John Hiller 2.83
Jim Palmer 2.86
Tigers are basically turning near every P they face into a Hall of Famer.

2022 Tigers 2003 Watch
Through 41 games:
2003: 9-32
2022: 14-27
2022 picks up a game as 2003 has dropped 4 in a row (of a 7 game losing streak).

"It's statistically impossible to play 162 games and be on pace to score 327 runs, which is 63 less than the fewest runs ever scored in baseball history." - Adham Beydoun on Al Avila.

What a P.O.S. If you can rip on AA he should rip on the shit players that are underachieving.

You're taking away from the fact that Avila is a horse shit GM. Players aren't going to rip players, but players ripping management has been done since before Cobb's days.

Just spotted this: Listening to Dickerson .. explaining the Twins roster construction, it?s a unintended yet backhand indictment of Avila.

well, that's part of the reason I think it's horse shit. The fact that he won't rip on the people most responsible for the lack of offense...the players!

Okay say you are a ballplayer retired or still playing and you bash players on your team. Who is going to want to talk with you? Do it to the GM or someone in the front office and you will be applauded, maybe traded or cut but applauded. If retired you won't be invited to any player's reunions anytime soon.
