DETROIT -- The Detroit Tigers are back to full strength.
Well, as close as they'll get for now.
Centerfielder Cameron Maybin and shortstop Erick Aybar are back Friday for the Tigers, who have won four straight and open a weekend series against the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Comerica Park (7:10 p.m., FSD).
Maybin, who continues to deal with a lingering thumb sprain, sat out Thursday's 8-5 win over the Minnesota Twins, as did Aybar.
Jose Iglesias (hamstring strain) is at Comerica Park but has not yet been activated from the disabled list.

Verlander’s career numbers against the Angels aren’t eye-popping — he has posted a 3.77 ERA in 15 starts — but half of those starts occurred on the road, and we all know that baseball gets strange on the west coast and shouldn’t even count.
Within the confines of Comerica Park, Verlander has held the Angels to a 2.14 ERA in eight career starts, and a minuscule 1.12 ERA over the last eight years.
